Agreed 1000%. Back when i had extensive travel for my work I used to fly into Philly 2 or 3 times per month. I hated the times when I was forced to have to venture into that cesspool of a downtown. The only city that was less comfortable to be in was Detroit, and that says it all.

I go to Penn right now. Have lived in Philly for 4 years now. Highly recommend TONY LUKE'S. Best cheesesteaks in Philly and it isn't close.

Not counting my own top of the line tailgate version, Most of the above have been hit or miss lately. Jim's West Philly, south street, chinks, dalessandros, Steve's , even tony Luke's.

The best consistently for me was Pats grandson ricks but since he left the market in high dudgeon he's had a chequered history. He is supposed to be in
    Kennett Sq soon.

the choice at cheesesteak ground zero has always been between the grittier superior original Pats and the shinier gristly knockoff genos. Pats has been a bit of a letdown lately, their roast pork has improved tho. For that delicacy you gotta go to johns on Snyder/weccacoe or Danic's at the terminal.

Roast beef - for me nicks at Jackson. Best fresh ravioli - P + S. best bakery - Isgro.

Out of the 10 largest cities in the US, Philly has the highest homicide rate of all. But
They have some nice statues and stuff.

    Now that you mention it...

If you and yours did your jobs even half effectively, we wouldn't be having this discussion. But keep trolling JI posting rollie eyes while cops get shot at daily.

    Here it comes....thaaaaaaats right.....

Every city has issues, your former department has more issues than most cities and they are not good ones. Nice view from your Glass house?

    No it's not.

I know CNN is no more credible to you than say, Wiki, but here's the facts. The city of brotherly love is one if the worst places to live in the country, and the absolute worst in murder rates.
