Good news. Hopefully he can stick on the 45 man active roster and make an impact for Atlanta in 2013.

VERY HAPPY to hear this news!!!

Poor guy deserves a shot to reclaim what was stolen from him due to that LYING C*NT!

For those unfamiliar with his story, here's a link to the 60 minutes feature that was done on him about 2 weeks ago. It's worth the 12 minutes of your life and a valuable lesson for many of us to learn from.

Cant' help but root for the guy.

Terrible ordeal for the kid. Shouldn't he be able to sue his accuser for having him falsely charged and sent to prison for 5 years?

That's if she has anything worth suing for. She's probably pissed away the settlement money and has nothing.

If this chick was the type of person that crazy ex-cop in LA was hunting, maybe he would have been left alone...

Wow..after 10 years out of football. This kid probably would have been a superstar if he got a fair shake.

What will happen to the girl? She should be tried by the state. So should her family who spent all the money that they received from the ensuing law suits. Of course, this is if all the evidence is what it's alleged to be.

5 years in prison? If he really is innocent, the woman should spend 5 years in prison to make up for it, as well as anyone who was involved in the lie.

That b!tch should be thrown in jail along with whoever developed this malicious scheme that literally snatched an innocent man's life and dreams away.

That lawyer should be disbarred too.

Hopefully this guy sticks around the league for a while. I might have to go down to Flowery Branch this summer and shake his hand.

Hopefully some senator trying to make his mark will take up this crusade. 60 mins already covered it, time for Piers Morgan and Jesse Ventura to do something useful

I knew about the story but had not seen the 60 Minute segment until now.

What struck me watching the segment is what an authentic and centered individual Brian Banks is. He is an evolved human being mature beyond his years, to move forward from this like he has ...

Whatever about the woman who lied and accused him ... I can't believe that his original African American lawyer encouraged to plead no contest despite the 40 years sentence that hung over him.
Yes, I get it, size, race , blah, blah, blah ... but no DNA, an articulate and credible young man ... and now this lawyer has turned down requests for an interview ? Has she no shame ?

This story has so many injustices and repugnant things happening. That's why it's suprising that the politicians and media aren't all over it/ screaming it out more. Maybe Mel Gibson needs to make a movie of it or something

It's simple as the real victim = man, the real violator = woman. If the tables were turned you'd see every neo-feminist news outlet and pandering TV station reporting on this 24/7 and he'd be tarred, feathered, and skinned by them and the court of public opinion.

Take the Rhianna - Chris Brown situation. Chris throws her a beating (definitely his bad), but you hardly ever read about Rhianna's volatile temper and immaturity. Fast forward to today, they're back together, and the media loves to report on them with a "Why is she with him" or an "Oh Rhianna, you can do better than him" tone. Not once is it that she's prolly just a glorified hood-rat that is comfortable with an abusive boyfriend cause that's probably what she's looking for. You live long enough you realize women are some strange (yet lovable) creatures

Yes I did. What's wrong about it? I never said he was justified in doing what he did, he was clearly wrong, but that's the reality of the situation. The media tries to make you believe she's a damsel in distress and Chris is some horrifying dragon who's got some type of Svengali-like hold on her. My response to them? Gimme a break with your slanted coverage that the naive take as gospel. If you think chicks like Rhianna (I grew up around myriad of them) are looking for a nice, sweet, quiet man who's got no thug in him, bro think again. And hood-rat tendencies (which she has plenty of) tend to mean the girl displaying them is a hood-rat.

Thus why Banks' accuser isn't being run through the ringer by the media.
