Conor Orr: One team "explored" a Tebow trade?

A sign that maybe he does have a little trade value? Either way I believe the quicker he is off the roster the better.

"Although it's a near certainty that Tim Tebow won't be on the Jets roster next season, the team is still looking for a potential trade partner to get something back for the former first-round pick.

One team who at least kicked around the idea was the Seattle Seahawks, according to a report in the Seattle Times. John Idzik's former team already has Russell Wilson and could potentially be looking for a mobile backup to run the versatile offense if Wilson ever went down.

However, Seattle is not likely to pursue Tebow, instead looking at Seneca Wallace and Tyler Thigpen.

For now, at least, Tebow remains in a crowded QB depth chart alongside Mark Sanchez, David Garrard and Greg McElroy."

The Seahawks would rather have an old, broken down Seneca Wallace instead of Tebow.

    Enough said

Wallace & co don't come with the associated media circus and constant attention on what a backup is doing / eating / wearing / thinking / etc ...

I still say he winds up in Jax, even though their GM said he didn't want him. The owner will make sure of it.

Too bad the Jax preseason game is at home, could have started Tebow to fill the stadium and force a trade

think a trade will free more cap space then releasing him

I'd take a conditional 8th rounder in 2018 for Tebow.

    Make it happen Idzzy!

Maybe a conditional compensatory pick in 2020.

maybe we can get a few thigh pads in exchange for him

Considering that the Seahawks are now looking at both Matt Leinart and Brady Quinn as backups, it actually doesn't sound too ridiculous that trading for Tebone might have crossed their minds.

Scratch Rams off list of possible destinations for Tim Tebow. St. Louis, rumored 2 be interested last yr, won't be trading for him, I'm told

Can an NFL team make a trade with an Arena League team?

I got news for you buddies...I would rather take Tyler Thigpen and/or Seneca Wallace over David Garrard anyday.

I think that the potential trading partners are weary of the massive media attention.
Some teams could use this to their advantage (Jags) but others are concerned about the locker room / team chemistry distraction-thing

We had become attention whxxxres wiling to do anything to SELL.
Tebow for us was a distraction while he could as easily be a positive factor for another team.

Option read QBs are not the same as Wildcat / Seminole QBS. Itís just that we didnít know the difference

    Thx for your time!!!
