Thread: METS 2013

Just checking in for the first time in a while to remind you guys to vote David Wright into the All-Star Game. 2 days left in the voting and the Giants had stuffed the ballot with 2 million votes in the last couple days last year so his lead is NOT safe. Do your part, the game is in our damn ballpark and our franchise player should be starting.

105 votes for me... 3 email addresses times 35 each.

Other Met fans please do the same.... bad enough that that turd from the Giants started last year, let's not let it happen with the game at Citifield

What the hell has Anderson done for this club in four years? He's done nothing but lose games, not spend money, and make excuses.

We need to get some new blood into the front office, somebody who's willing to spend money and make big moves.

    Who's Anderson????

  9. #189
    Alderson.

Anyways, sandy could do much more with what he has available to him. He could have resigned Reyes when he had the chance, he could have resigned dickey, etc.

Having the 19th highest payroll with much of it for inactive players isn't the GM's fault. Until the Wilpons stop talking and start spending I'll watch on TV only.

How they handled Reyes was the worst thing this team has done the last few years. If they had managed to get a Wheeler-type prospect for him I'd feel a lot better about the fact that they didn't want to keep/pay him.

wow -- went to bed at around midnight, woke up at 3:45 AM --- (sleep is overrated). Whodathunk the Metropolitans had just outlasted the Giants in the 16th inning in a game that ended only four or so minutes before that ridiculously early time

    Amazin'

The dickey trade and the beltran trade are very close to be part of the present. His job was to get rid of the wasted payroll without adding anymore **** to it The mets are in prime position over the next 2 years to spend some good money on 2-3 bats and 1-2 relief pitchers. With a possible starting rotation of harvey wheeler niese hefner and either montero, syndegard or gee for the 5th spot. Possibly using either montero or syndegard to get a big bad like cargo. I say the last few years of **** will be worth what the future looks like it could bring.

Bud Selig fcuked the Mets fans.

When the Wilpon family could not pay their bills he should have forced them out of the league. Instead he loaned them the "get by money", allowed them to stay and cut then they budget to the bone.

The Best was the "...we are going to re-build with home grown talent..." BS. Then they let the Mets greatest home grown shortstop walk without even giving him an offer. Then Reyes signed a "back end" deal with Miami. Back end as in most of the money being paid after 2014.

Alderson is a hatchet man, the Wilpons are shady and Selig is an a-hole

If the Mets end this season 10 games under 500. Any free agent signing will be expensive. They will have to overpay.

Do you feel confident that Alderson/Wilpon will do that?

The Cards cut Wiggington. We should pick him up. He was a fan favorite. Maybe he just needs to get 25 at-bats a week.

Where do you put him? We just sent our hottest bat to the bench to showcase Ike.
