Worst case IMO is us trading for Mike Vick after Philly takes Geno. I would flat out disown this team. I wouldnt be shocked at all if Philly somehow manage do duke anther team into playing a kings ransom for a QB they dont want.

With that in mind, what would be your best case scenario, and worst?

    Best:

    #9 -- Star Lotulelei - DT
    #13 -- Tyler Eifert - TE
    #39 -- Damontre Moore - OLB

    (Ok I'll cheat) option B

    #9 -- Jarvis Jones OLB
    #13 -- Jonathan Cooper OG
    #39 -- Matt Elam - S

...I think there's plenty depth to address RB/WR later on.

    Worst case:

    #9 -- T. Austin WR
    #13 -- B. Mingo OLB
    #39 -- M. Barkley QB

...I might not survive the weekend.
I just don't see how we can go defense with two of the three picks. I would prefer offense with all three, but assuming that's not going to be the case it should at least be two offensive players.

The O-Line is not that important.

Having a dominating O-Line is overrated.

True, I could see if the O line was in shambles, maybe take a LT and guard, but I dont think the Jets line is that bad to use two top 13 picks on guards.

    I was kidding.

    But having a dominant O-Line wouldn't suck.

Not sure why you have to get nasty....but your line of argument doesn't help persuade ...

Revis didn't play, Scott was awful, Pouha didn't play, Pace had slowed to a frightening level and yet the defense was still very competitive. The defense will be competitive with the current roster as is.

The offense was a joke, in no way resembling a competent NFL offense, with no talent at any skill position...The offense needs to be completely overhauled, the defense has talent on every level (CB, DL and LB)

No Sanchez was a joke. We actually a have roster of players to field on sunday on offense. Can't say the same about our defense. I can't believe you'd argue that. To me, this is much more about where the talents in this draft relative to our pick. There's no Richardson. No Dez... nothing worth splurging on in the top 15 outside of Eifert.

IMO the only we get two offensive picks out of our first 3 would be a scenario involving an OG & a TE.

I know you will differ, but it strikes me that Eifert would be an enormous waste in the top 15. The spread between TE's in this draft is not terribly great. It's one of the few positions, along with CB, that is pretty deep. What does fade quickly is the quality of DE/OLB. I really wish we could trade down and get a couple additional picks in the 2nd and 3rd. That would be perfect for this draft.

I won't disagree with you - this is a deeper TE class. It's why I've only been moderately blowing Eifert... he will be legit though.

In a perfect Paradis world - SF or someone would trade up for one of our early picks and allow us to collect 2nd/3rds. Come out of the first with Star/Jones and take both Escobar & Reed later.

    # 9 Warmack
    # 13 Austin
    # 39 Lacy

3 picks, 3 starters... Thas what you need to do when drafting.

I also could definitely see 2 of these guys ending up being probowlers...

Combine them with 2 existing pro-bowlers (Brick and Mangold) and lets say somehow we do get Bridgewater next year...

And since we are dreaming, lets also say Hill improves and becomes the freak his workout #'s indicate he could be.

Pretty sick offense... Nice to dream.

As said earlier in this thread, giving up ANYTHING for Vick would be the worst case scenario but here is a close second:

Trade 9, 13, and a 2014 pick to KC and taking Geno Smith.

    Best case:

Trade 9 to Dallas - they move up and grab Cooper.
Trade 13 to Minny- they move up and grab Austin

    Then:

    1-18: Vaccaro
    1-23: Williams DT NC
    2-7: Nassib
    2-15: Ertz
    2-23: Hunt

I tried to envision Jarvis Jones falling to 13 but My guess is Cleveland trades down with Miami. Miami want Johnson and Has 2 2nd round picks and Cleveland doesn't have a 2.

In this scenario, we have 5 starters without even talking about the 2 3rds, 4 th, 5th, 2 6ths, and the 7th.

While I don't know about your specifics, I agree that the best case scenario would be to accumulate more picks. Listening to most people, it sounds like the only "guarantee" is at the guard position, which is a position I'm comfortable being COMPETENT at, as opposed to DOMINANT.

If we find ourselves in a position to fill multiple holes in a supposedly deep draft, we gotta take advantage of it . . .

You might hate it, but I guarantee our offense would be leaps and bounds better in 2013 than it was in 2012 if we had the above draft.
