    All Time favorite Sci-Fi movies

For my money it's the original "Planet of the Apes"...love the scene where Chuck Heston screams out "GET YOUR HANDS OFF ME YOU DAMN DIRTY CHIMP!!!"

    What's your favs?

I'm embarrassed to say I only recently saw the original Planet of the Apes and it holds up with time very well because I thought it was fantastic. Love that scene you mentioned.

Hmmm..other than the very obvious (Alien(s)/Star Wars etc)...

Two recent movies I loved were District 9 and Inception.

The original Matrix was awesome before the sequels obliterated the good memories.

A movie that everyone seemed to hate that I loved: A.I.

Blade runner probably belongs in the obvious category.

    Cult classic: Starship Troopers.

Old school (and like Carlton avoiding the obvious) I loved Slaughterhouse 5 and Orson Well's War of the Worlds.

Old school all the way for me:

The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951)
    The Thing (1951)
    War of the Worlds (1953)
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956)

I'll take those originals - lame special effects and all - over the remakes any day.

Tron/The Last Starfighter - first uses of computer graphics on a large scale

    Tron Legacy

    The Matrix

Planet of the Apes/Beneath the Planet of the Apes (didn't really care for the other sequels/prequels)

Logan's Run - Jenny Agutter's boobies in the ice cave

    Aliens

    Total Recall (both versions)

    Demolition Man

Star Trek II The Wrath of Khan

someone should include The Island of Dr. Moreau (the Michael York/Burt Lancaster version from I think 1978), simply because Barbara Carrera was stunning. Not to mention the creatures were kinda cute too.
