  1. #21
Still today, the greatest film ever made - 2001.

    Others include 2010
    Close Encounters
Jurassic Park trilogy (mainly 1 & 3, I absolutely hated the Lost World, it was boring)
    Original Star Wars
    The Abyss
    Alien & Aliens
    AVP 1
    Silent Running
    ID4

Not sure it really qualifies as Sci Fi, but Safety Not Guaranteed was pretty entertaing
Feel the nerdy love! Never saw Safety Not Guaranteed. I really enjoyed the new Star Trek as well. I have to admit I never really watched the old ones though.

Abyss... good one. I can't say I agree with Jurassic Park 2 or 3 though. I thought 1 was a masterpiece. 2 and 3 not so much.

Cowboys vs Aliens was ok, if not highly improbable.

I guess we could see that one coming.

I so suck at these. I'm a huge film fan, but I just can't call up titles off the top of my head. Lots of great titles listed. I always like any of the P.K. Dick treatments.

There's always some impressive **** in some really awful sci-fi films. I finally forced myself to watch Prometheus the other night. Ga! What a train wreck... but amidst that wreck, the usual amazing performance by Michael Fassbinder (is he ever bad in anything). He along with Tom Hardy look to be the type of actors I'm gonna end up enjoying in frickin anything.

Just released trailer... from the director of District 9. Hopefully it doesn't suck.

Recently I thought the Adjustment Bureau was fantastic.
The skline in Bladerunner is based on the skyline of my home town in England

I love most P.K.Dick or Robert Heinlein adaptations.

Any Ridley or Tony Scott stuff because they come from near my home town in England also.

Most of mine are on here. 12 Monkeys is probably my favorite.

Some of the ones I didn't see on here

Primer. It's an ultra small budget Sci-Fi film dealing with the power of having time travel. It is quite confusing in parts, but honestly it is an awesome film, especially for a movie made for under $10,000

I'm not quite sure if I wold call it "Science Fiction" but Pi is another great low-budget film that has some Sci-Fi elements.

I also liked AI, but thought the tacked on ending was stupid. I lost a bet with friends, when I bet that movie would gross $300M domestically. It eventually made it 1/4 of the there

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - I'm genuinely surprised no one else has said this.

    Dark Star
    Logans Run
    Last Starfighter
Star Wars ... any of it
    Alien
    Blade Runner
    Barbarella
Flash Gordon "Quarterback, New York Jets" (okay... that movie isn't very watchable)

Caught Blade Runner the other night on the Encore Channel. Wow. That was one of the most visually stunning movies ever made.
