With the emergence of Veeren behind Ridley I doubt Leon sees the field for more than five offensive snaps a game. He's a return specialist and that's it. He'll give McCourty special teams off so he can be healthier/less winded for defense.

Why do I think we're destined to watch him run one back for 6 against us?

The guy hasn't had more than 53 carries or scored more than 1 rushing TD in any given year since he left us 4 years ago and he's going to be 31 years old at the start of the season.

He's a decent kick returner, period.

Yes, I'm sure Leon is going to light us up in New England. Just like LaMont Jordan, Chris Baker and Victor Hobson.

Thumbs down Leon Washington will be a nightmare..

Washington had ( and still has) the most elusiveness, the most " wiggle" of any Jet since Freeman McNeil (probably more). Not much wear on the tires, not that old, he will eat us up (and much of the league) next year if he gets his touches, Will be REALLY looking forward to sticking it to the Jets, who threw him on the trash heap, The new Woodhead? HA! Woodhead never had a third of Leon's talent! Additionally, one of the many class acts we let go and have never recovered from....Freakin' Tanny and Tex blew it..

You've got to be kidding. He's going to be 31, to start the season, so he's got SOME wear on the tires.

The Jets went to 2 AFCCGs, without him--- they recovered well enough.

They didn't throw him on the trash heap--- they traded him, to get some value, coming off an injury.

He was a good kick returner and 3rd down back for the Jets--- but, they offered him a VERY fair and reasonable contract, that he refused, because he wanted #1 running back money.

WTF are you smoking brah? Welker(now gone) Woodhead and the majority of that O is JAGs and Scrubs (ridley and vereen are the first threats they've had at RB in a long time). They should be all thankful for Brady's ***** ass. Ponder gets nine wins with what receivers?! And of course you couldn't say anything good about the Jets O... obvious is obvious. My point is your post is 98% bull chit.

Gronk, Hernandez, and Ballard are scrubs? It remains to be seen what happens with Sanders and whether or not they go WR in the draft, but if Amendola stays healthy, all of them combined along with Ridley and Vereen are a fine set of skill players. My point was that given the Pats' offensive system, any QB with decent accuracy (Alex Smith, for instance) who doesn't turn the ball over will be able to put up points, enough to win games for that team, something you can't say about the Jets. I suppose Cassel winning 11 games was just a fluke?

Is there anything good to say about the Jets' O?

Not much wear besides the almost career ending leg injury that robbed him of most of his playmaking ability.

Actually, they haven't won a SB since they were caught cheating; aka, Spygate. Facts are facts.
