    Keenan Allen, WR California

According to Adam Schefter(see tweet below), Allen's actually the #1 receiver on some teams's draft boards. Not Patterson or Austin. Interesting:

Keenan Allen, the No. 1-rated WR on some boards, was red-flagged for a drug test at scouting combine in Indy and retested this month.

    Follow up tweet:

Keenan Allen's agent, JT Johnson, denied his client failed any drug test. Results of recent test unknown. Some had Allen as draft's No. 1 WR

As he should be perfect combo of size and talent. Not a burner but if you look at the top WRs in the league he is right on par with most of them.

JT Johnson said Keenan Allen was retested this month for previous ankle and knee injuries and it had nothing to do with any drug test.

Wow, Adam better clarify his tweet quick. That is terrible if he made such a stupid mistake.

Allen should be the top WR in this draft... it's unfortunate that the injury and other stuff surfaced...

Still don't think he'll actually make it out of the first.

Terrible as in Allen drops to the Pats' pick as a result and then gets scooped up?

Agreed though in all seriousness. I think these journalists are in such a rush to be first they often forget these are young men behind the names.

Yeah just no way he can possibly slide past Minni, Houston, NE, Atlanta, SF, and Balt on the back end.

How would you guys feel about a small trade back to pick up an extra 3rd rounder and then drafting Keenan Allen in the 1st?

Depending on how the board fell, I would take it....

Allen ran recently and it was in the 4.7s. He does not have elite speed. An aquan boldin type guy.

The reason people value Allen as the top receiver over Austin or Patterson is because he's the most "NFL ready" receiver overall. He's solid in all aspects of his game, but not the huge burner like mentioned before. Austin, Patterson, Hopkins and probably Hunter too all have a greater potential, IMO.

Who knows. 50% of the people are right 50% of the time.
