We'd never payed him 16 millions a year. But I wished we got a 2nd rounder in '14 for him instead.
I said I would be happy with a 1st and 3rd and I am. Good value IMO I cant believe we talked them up that much. That is like twice the value of their original offer and they where the only bidder. lol
I think it became personal between Woody and Revis, and at that point it became a nasty divorce with no other options. The thing is, Woody want's me to pay $$,$$$$ a year with no hope of wins. I sure hope you are right and I am wrong.
At least my Isles, who have steadfastly refused to trade their young players for **** will now be dominant for the next 10 years.
I will take the 1st round pick in 2013 and the 4th in 2014 and Mevis blows out his knee.
This was a great trade. We just scored a first round pick for an injured malcontent.
There's not much more a rebuilding team could ask for.
Meanwhile, New York is positioning itself well for the 2014, when the Jets are expected to receive four compensatory picks to go along with the Buccaneers' likely third-round choice, meaning the Jets will have a bounty of picks to try to turn around their roster.
I like the two early picks we can address the o and defense. No upfront money but uncle sean and mevis can be cut and not get nothing, but they can always hold out.......
Mevis fed the Jets for 40 million for 1.5 seasons played I usually side with the players but not on this one. 3 more yrs and he is holding out again or cut
@NFLSTROUD: The battle with the Jets was over three draft picks. The Bucs were only willing to give up two picks.
