We could have just re-signed him....

He'll dominate next year and hold out for $15M+. Book it.

Same. No leverage from the beginning.

Revis possesses confidence bordering on stupidity if he was willing to sign a contract with no guaranteed money. I'm curious as to whether there's no guaranteed money at all, or just no money that's guaranteed against injury and skill.

let me get this straight. the deal the jets got sucks. but if they got another pick in next year's draft, it was ok? is that really the difference here?

Obviously. Sorry, I didn't think I had to be that specific.

Would like to know what triggers the fourth into a third. Does he have to start 10 games? Make the Pro Bowl? Or do they have to win the division? Or something in between?

How high or low the bar on that is will impact my feelings on the trade.

The lack of the 3rd pick combined with no guaranteed money makes this look like the Jets got fleeced.

I'm not saying they did. I'm just saying that that is what it looks like

The unintelligent jet homers who cant come to grips that we are in a complete rebuild will bash this move.

Intelligent jet fans who understand the direction our franchise is going will realize this is a great move under the circumstances.

Looking forward to thursday night with 2 of the top 13 picks.

Embarrassing to be a Jets fan. Ugh.

Complete laughing stock. Way to go Woody.

Respectively speaking (you are one of the best posters on this board), what are the chances those picks are anywhere near the caliber of Revis? You know it's pretty low.

In fact, what's the chances that we blow it? Much higher, no?

Some here seem to think that an extra 5th rd draft pick next year will all f a sudden make this trade awesome. SMH. Same people who thought that guiving up Mozgov was too much for Melo.

No chance Jets were paying 16 mil a year, even if not guaranteed.
