Put me down for the trade down...

Time for Idzik to prove his worth, I say trade down with both picks and stockpile. This draft is deep from second to fourth round. Hopefully we can come away with our QB of the future.

Can't, we gotta get a stud picking this high. Star, Ansah, Jordan or Cooper and then you can trade out with the other pick.

Agree. Just not sure which pick to try and trade down with. It's going to depend on how the board falls 1-8

It will depend on who is available on the board.

Jets have plenty of holes, let's start plugging them up.

    OLB
    OG
    QB
    FS
    SS
    QB
    WR

    The list goes on

I think you have to see how the draft goes and the demand for trade ups

Everyone wants to trade down this year. The Browns and Raiders are also reportedly looking to get out of the top 10. The Jets will need some luck, the right player is going to have to fall to them for trade down.

We're actually in a more advantageous position to trade down than teams higher up because by the time 9 rolls around, some players will be off the board, and some runs on positions will have been made and teams might be getting worried.

That being said, I agree whole-heartedly with Tinstar. We have to get at least one stud in the top ten, if we can trade down to middle-late first with the 13 pick, then sure go for it, but , stick to your guns @ 9.

IF geno smith makes it to 9... which team would be willing to trade up. Looking at the order every team is set at qb or has a young qb. I think the best bet is for smith to be gone before 9 and have one of the Linemane drop.

I think it's going to be tough to trade out of 9 and possibly 13.

    Agreed.
Let"s say at 9, Star, Warmack , Cooper, Geno Smith and Milliner are all around. If i am the Jets i trade out even for the smallest of profits.

If SF wants to trade up to us at #9 we could get the #31, #34, & #74 overall picks. I am hoping they like Star enough to do that trade plus they have tons of picks in this draft.

There is a lot of deep talent in this class when you go position by position so I love the idea of grabbing more picks.

I think we trade down both picks. One to minn or sd and one to sf.

    49ers are a good bet. 31 and 34 for our 13. Keep the 9.

How wild would it be if they traded the #9 for both Vikings picks (23 & 25),
then traded out of 13 with 49ers (31-34)

    They would have 23,25,31,34,39!
5 picks out of the top 40!
Plus you have to realize that out of those 40 picks, 5 would be Jets
Plus, every player taken that is not a position of need for the Jets adds players that fit a need.
We already know that their will be 3 left tackles taken, & a few 4/3 players.
Jets would be getting the pick of the litter out of the best 30 or so players in this draft!
    A man can dream right?
