I know everybody's highlight reel plays make them look great, but this play (and others I've seen) show that Ivory has power, a burst of speed, moves, attitude, enthusiasm, and the ability to make something out of nothing on his own. He's exactly the type of back we need to complement what we currently have at the position. It seems like the only significant drawback is his injury history.
He's a good RB. For a 5th round pick, it sounds about right for both sides.
This guy has a broken tackle every 4.9 touches. That's 57 broken tackles on 279 carries, and a 5.1 YPC average. That's running on 80% of the snaps he's been in so they are certainly focusing on him when he's in there, and he just turned 25. That sounds like pretty damn good deal for a 4th round pick to me.
Doubt Austin lasts to 13 take him 9 and either OG 13
Agreed. But also if the Jets don't want him they could get someone to trade up to 9 and gather more picks. I think Austin is the key to this draft either way for the Jets. Either pick him or get more pick for him.
