    starts with

    9 Warmack

then I'm hoping for a trade down of the 13 for pick in the twenties and a 2 or 3

Eiffert with the pick in the 20s

lots of nice wideouts IMO in the later rounds

no QB until round four at the earliest (Bray, Dysart, others)

It will take balls of steel for Idzik to take Mingo @ 9. He has been waiting a loooong time to become a GM and if he misses on his first pick it could sink him in two years time. Although he was part of the SEA contingent that took Bruce Irvin last year. It will be very interesting. I can't wait for tomorrow night.

I just think he plays it safe and goes Warmack/Cooper with his top pick. The Jets and Idzik both need a "sure thing" with the top pick.

    Touche!

Hey, this draft stuff is stressful. We all need to keep our sense of humor and remember it's a game. The draft should be very interesting and exciting for us as Jets fans... two picks on Day One... not bad.

Hey, I know I slam Mingo now.

But I already know that if we take him, I'll be posting his highlight videos all over the Strip saying how we just got our own DeMarcus Ware.

    9 - Star Lotulelei
We lost Pouha and Devito, we are relying on an injury prone guy and a couple of untested guys to anchor our defense. Lotulelei is stout enough play NT in a 3-4 and agile enough to play DT in a 4-3.

    13 - Johnathan Cooper
In my last mock I had the three LT's and both guards gone by 9 but always a chance at least one of the top guards falls. I've come around to taking a guard high in this draft.

39 - Damontre Moore (would take DeAndre Hopkins if by a miracle he falls to us.)
If Hopkins happened to be there I'd take him immediately. If not I'd roll the dice on Moore. Like a Tom Petty song he has been 'Free Fallin' for suspect workouts and off field stuff but he is a play maker and has what I look for in college production, a steady improvement each year.

I'm OK with most of the guys that are getting mocked to us. I just don't know about Mingo, he seems scrawny.

I suppose if he bulks up a little bit and you teach him to really look to strip the ball he could be effective. His arms are crazy long. In college he can bring guys down by his fingers, but I'm not sure he can do that in the pros. He has to get stronger.
