Let's talk 2nd/3rd day Offensive Prospects

I was pretty stunned with how the first round played out, but I guess Idzik followed the strategy he hinted at - BPA. The skill positions were weak at the top of the draft, and at the end of the day, you can always find a starting OG in the mid rounds.

So now you'd have to think (hope?) that the Jets turn their attention to offense over the next few rounds.. I ask my draft gurus - which WR/TEs should we be targeting in rounds 2/3? Does the Ivory trade for a 5th made sense at this point?

Let's be honest. Rex is drafting. We want to talk offense, talk 3rd day when it actually could happen

So with Rex in the room they'll take Te'o and TJ McDonald.

    What's the point?

    Get ready for a SS/OLB at #39.

Or watch us jump up for Geno only to give him dick to work with.

who did u want them to draft at 9/13? Eifert?

If Ivory is added, and Braylon Edwards is added, you can say that the WR and RB core is stable and maybe the best its been in some time. O line and TE for rounds 2-3.

Any chance a Deandre Hopkins or Keenan Allen is still on the board at 39?

I sure hope. I like Hopkins a little more but I would take either.

    That was my hope.

In Idzik we (have to) trust.

And we're giving you actual football talk.

This team has arguably the most sh*tastic offense in the league, finally had the resources to go about fixing it...and takes a CB and another interior DL in the 1st round for the 3rd year in a row.

Switch to a 4-3 you say?

What, with a couple of 300 lb DE's?

There's no way anyone can talk me into thinking that a combo of Milliner/Richardson helps this team more than a combination like Warmack/Eifert.

This was the worst possible 1st round that I could've imagined.

This offense is worse than it was last year. That's saying something.

The Jets are picking Best Player on their board, so it's going to be a shock who' gets pick everytime. Our needs to me are:

    QB
    OL
    OLB

    Eifert and Hopkins gone.
Patterson still in play as well as Woods, Allen and a few other WRs.
All the RBs and QBs (well except for EJ) still in play.

But what's it matter, you know we're taking a Safety in round 2.
