QB in 2nd Round for Jets? (MERGED)

Seriously, the jets appear to be totally going back to the drawing board. None our favorite picks. None of the expected players, may as well complete the reimaging

Still not seeing the path to it minus a trade up. Some QB-needy team in front of us in 2nd round will take him

I hate Geno and he's the only thing that can inject some life into our offense that has absolutely been crushed by this failure of a 1st round.

Is he really worth two picks?

Round 2 will be WR, unless there is a run here at the end of the first, there should be a lot there.

I think the big issue with Geno is he is immature. He made some tweets about the "experts" just prior to the draft I think hurt him even more. I dont want him. I still want Barkley or Glennon. IMO if you passed on Barkley in the 1st you cant take him in the 2nd. I'd go with the leadership ability in the 2nd over raw potential. I have no issue with any of them in the 2nd though.

TE or QB in the 2nd. Unless it is Allen I'll pass. Most of these guys are very similar in talent. I would not be shocked if we took a 4-3 MLB and cut or traded Harris in the 3rd. QB, TE, MLB, and WR have to be our priorities in rounds 2, 3 and 4. Hopefully that RB trade goes threw. Otherwise that could very well be our 2nd rounder as well.

Won't be shocked if Jets take a QB in Round 2 now. Way this is playing out, nothing will shock me.

If we take a QB it will hurt Sanchez's feelings just like last year.

Of the teams ahead of us in Round 2 :

Jax - I could see them taking a QB (talking heads are saying Nassib)
    SF - no way
Eagles - fair chance, but I wouldn't be surprised if they passed
    Lions - no
    Bengals - no
Cards - chance of a guy to develop longer term, but I've read they like their downfield guys so Smith doesn't strike me as a fit

... then us. So if Geno makes it past Jax, he could be there for us at #39. Barring trade ups, of course. Though I can't see many teams that strongly NEED a QB still.

Question is, if Smith is there, do we bite? I'm starting to think that we do. I wouldn't hate the move - even though there's a lot of talent on the board at other positions. I think it would be good value, question is the risk / reward over taking a TE / S / WR that is more likey to pan out.

If he's there, I think we will take him.

Based on what I've seen of Idzik - My guess is we go Center in the second round.

    1. Won't be there at 39.

    2. I'd rather pick a QB high next year.

If You Had to Take a QB, Who?

If you had to take one of these guys in rounds 2 or 3, who do you take?

I am just curious. I am all for waiting for a QB until the first round of the 2014 Draft, but I am curious who people like out of the guys who are left for the 2,3,4 rounds.

Glennon. At 6'7" I can always turn him into a TE.

Out of the guys left, I would have to go with Geno, I think he's the best available, if he fell to us at 39, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world...right?

I am confused and torn on this pick here. I want to wait for QB until next year, but if someone is sitting in our lap, damn, thats tough.
