    STEAL OF THE FIRST ROUND

my vote for reaches of the first round go to the Dolphins for trading up to get the Jason Taylor wannabe and the Bills for Manuel

He's got Werner at 2? Barkley at 7??

Not sure I put a lot of faith in this ranking.

Biggest reaches of R1 are, in order:

    Dallas, 3rd round offensive lineman?
    Bills, Manual, LOL
Arizona, Cooper is great but they could have moved back and got him at 10-12.

    Dion Jordan wasn't a reach.

Why would that be a reach?

He was 7th overall on Mayock's list. (Floyd was #2 and Star #11)

He was 15th overall on Brandt's list. (Floyd was #4 and Star #22)

He was 14th overall on Jeremiah's list. Floyd and Star were #3 and #4)

He was absolutely a fair value pick at #13. Wasn't a reach at all. Issue is really about his relative value compared to Floyd and Star.

I'm sure Ryan Leaf was ranked pretty high too... just saying.

Why does anyone care where someone was ranked on some other guy's list that's making a guess?

Player Comparison: J.J. Watt. I don't think that Richardson will turn into as a good of a player as Watt. However of all the players in the NFL, Richardon's non-stop motor and style of play is the most reminiscent of Watt. Both players also have explosiveness and the instincts to make impact plays even when not recording sacks. Watt (6-5, 295), a second-year pro, and Richardson have almost identical measurements with length and speed. Watt is a better player in the NFL than he was in college and Richardson definitely has that potential.

His value comes from his ability to pass rush up the middle thus moving the QB out of the pocket towards onrushing DEs. This guy does his job well and Brady and the naysayers on this Board will hate him.

Yup. I said the same thing earlier today in the Richardson is an Animal thread. This is all about creating pressure up the middle, which is more important against QB's like Brady than edge rushers. You actually need both, but Brady has far too quick a release for an edge move that is any way impeded to work.
