Love the player, don't like the price. Was hoping for a 5th at the most. Lots of good players still to be had in the 4th.

But a very nice player - just 25, big, fast and powerful. I am sure the Jets and his agent already agreed the boundaries of a long-term deal during his RFA visit.

    Realist.

Team has needs at TE, WR, Safety, OLB.

    Demarco Murray
    Ahmad Bradshaw
    BJGE
    Michael Turner
    Darren Sproles
    Arian Foster
    CHRIS IVORY
    Fred Jackson
    Alfred Morris
    Andre Brown
    Steven Ridley
    Lamar Miller
    Jamaal Charles

    Maysonet
    Franklin
    Lacy
    Lattimore
    Barner
    Ellington
All Available and can be had in rounds 4-7. Team has much bigger needs.

I understand the stigma behind acquiring veteran RBs -- RB have the shortest shelf life of any NFL position. Still, I have no problem picking up a guy who has already shown he can play.

5th rounder would have been easier to swallow tho.

Ivory is worth a 4th, plus the Jets should get a 2014 comp pick for Greene

looks like they will field a team in 2013

Leon was a pro bowler KR/PR and elite 3rd down back, was dealt for a 5th a few years back.

Jets will probably have more picks then any team in the NFL in 2014 with several comp picks (Landry, DeVito, Keller & Green - and I am probably missing a couple) and the additional 3rd rounder for Revis......

We're setting Geno up for failure giving him

Holmes, Hill, Kerley, and Cumberland as his "weapons"

He was coming off a very serious injury and nobody knew he'd be able to bounce back that well.

I think these guys are all "weapons" and you can bet this offense just got better today. New Guard, New QB, New RB, we're doing ok.. We were literally in the toilet and in 2 days we have added talent, Idzik has impressed so far.

    Bang Bang Bang.
That's 6 with a few questionable starter designations. 6 out of 32 is oozing? Compare that to 1st or 2nd rounders.

Thanks for posting. Kind of remind me of the Leon Washington trade. Not in the way he's utilized on the field, but the fact that he seems to be a under the radar fan favorite that could have massive potential in the right circumstance. We shall see.

What's wrong with that group? Good enough for Sanchez, right?

Why do we need a S? We drafted two last year.
