    Geno Smith is absurdly underrated

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GB5OW9i7KHs

Please take some time and look at this video of Smith vs. Clemson in the orange bowl.

Those are elite nfl quarteback skills.

Staying in the pocket, going through progressions, throwing bullets all over the field, making incredibly accurate short, intermediate, and deep throws. Running at the right times. It's crazy impressive. I really have no idea why people are saying this kid isn't ready to start from day one. He's shown as any QB i've seen in recent memory.

I couldn't be more pumped about this pick. Honestly, he wasn't really in my radar cause I didn't see him as a possibility in the first round. After just a little bit of further inspection, I would have been ok with this guy at 9. He looks that good to me.

    LOL

What the hell is it with you?

One minute you're saying it's a terrible pick, then you're saying it's great.

Then you say how much it sucks again, then you're back to saying how awesome he is.

    Make up your mind

Honestly check some of his stuff from his senior year. His playing style was way different this past season than it was in that Clemson game.

From Smith's junior year. His playing style was so different his senior year. He was more erratic as a junior, more of a scrambler

I'm not convinced. Now, if the video had Thunderstruck as the soundtrack, then I would be pumped in knowing we had our guy.

Honestly build a team around him and develop him properly. He has all the tools and the arm strength to be a good QB in the NFL. Considering the young RB core we've built and the fact we just upgraded our O-line, I think we are off to the right start. Upgrade the receiver core and he will succeed. Everyone had Geno Smith as their #1 QB and getting him at #39 was never a thought in my mind. For the first time in years we have competition at the QB position and I'm happy to see how it plays out.

    +1

Watch him against Florida State in his junior year then Clemson as a senior.

    Guy has made tremendous progression.

Like I said before, I don't think he'll ever be in that "elite" class, but he has the potential to be a damn good QB for a number of years.

And really, what more could you ask for from a 2nd round pick?

I'll say it for the 100th time, if these people are waiting around for the next Andrew Luck, then I guess I'll see them in 2030.

And let's pray to God that we have the 1st overall pick that year.

I don't even think Bridgewater is THAT far above Geno, to be honest.

I would have drafted Tyler Wilson. Geno doesn't beat top quality teams, only bad ones.

I totally hope Geno develops though! I'm tired of this QB problem every year, every decade.

10 minutes after the pick, you posted how it was a waste since we already had Sanchez, Tebow, Garrard, and "Gmac" on the roster.

So yeah, unless someone hacked your account, it was definitely you.

Sucks, I liked Nassib better than Geno and Nassib is still a available. .
We have so many needs. Only good thing out of this, it puts us in the Clowney running.

I like Austin, but please tell me the last time that a 5'8 170 lb receiver made a significant impact in this league?

    Don't even give me Harvin

Harvin has 3 inches and 30 pounds on the guy.

Nassib is so good his own coach didn't want him.
