So you think a 4th was too much for Ivory?

Check this out and tell me what you think now:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1wjt_lmJfs

This doesn't even have his best run against the Falcons where he stiff armed a defender and ran in for the score. This guy makes highlight plays routinely, think of his small body of work in comparison to his highlights. Look at his feet how he picks and slides, notice his vision on some of the inside runs, notice his breakaway speed, this guy has it all, 6.0 222 pounds and probably runs under 4.5... I will research about his speed, but he looks damn fast with pads on that's for sure. Oh one last thing, these aren't college highlights, these are against the big boys, enjoy!

    Wait, these are even better:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVbNTEXGYUw

He's an excellent addition to our football team. I love the trade and value. Looks like the 5th round will be used for WR or a TE. Will see. I'm guessing they resign Braylon Edwards just in case head case Holmes is stil hurting

How did this guy to undrafted? His vision and agility look amazing for a bigger back.

lololo I seriously laughed my butt off here. I have no issue at all with a 4th for Ivory. Yeah OK he cant block. Who was the last RB in Philly that could block? If we are modeling our O on what Philly was I am 100% fine with that. Your talking one of the more dominate Os over the last decade.

Ran 4.49 and had a 36 inch vertical at his pro day:http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/201...ory/index.html

I knew this guy had to be fast, he looks like runs every bit of that 4.49 behind those pads. I hate guys that time in the 4.3 with shorts on and then look like 4.7 players on the field, this guy times fast and plays fast.

Hard to argue with a 4th round pick on a RB who has proven he can run well in the NFL. He looks like everything I always wished Shonn Greene would be on tape.

He is definitely worth a 4th round pick IMO. He's far better than any RB they could have drafted with the pick and he's had some success in NFL. This was a no brainer.

Absolutely thrilled with this acquisition. He's a beast of a runner with real heart. A fearless warrior.

    I knew a 5th was not enough. 4th seems like a bargain.

Good addition. Definitely an upgrade over Greene.

This is an absolutely horrible deal. We gave up a valuable 4th round pick and gave up cap space. I as manager would have thought this through and saved our pennies for something better like Stan Handley from The college of Staten Island.

Not really, but there is always someone that chimes in with this type of comment and I just miss it.

Does it worry anyone that we run a WCO predicated on RBs catching passes and Ivory, while a great runner (when healthy) has a total of 3 career catches and the saints, who love to throw, had no use for him?

I think it might be a little too much given his injury history and the fact that he was most likely going to be the odd man out there anyways.

The fact that he doesn't catch the ball, despite playing in a pass heavy offense is a little puzzling to me.

Guess the Jets weren't impressed with any of the RBs in this year's class.

    Great pick-up.

Makes me laugh at all the talking heads going crazy over the Sanchez/Geno thing - the Jets are rebuilding for the future - you can't do that by letting previous bad decisions affect the ones you make now.

The O-liine still requires work, and we definitely need to think WR/TE 4th round onwards but i've been happy with Idziks work so far.

We could have used that 4th, that makes us -2 now.

This is true. He couldnt stay on the field being a part-time RB... Not sure how becoming a starter is going to make him more durable.

with that, I love his game and a 4th rounder is fair value given his upside is likely higher than any (and I do mean any) rb in this draft...

It all hinges on whether he can get past the injury bug.

Also the Jets trades (Revis and Ivory) so far have been totally fair market value, it would be nice to see them do better.

A 5th for Ivory would have been nicer.
