The fact that every media outlet had a speculative article about the Revis trade every day insisting that the Jets organization was screwing it up is all you need. They had no facts about the deal yet the Jets were about to set their franchise back for the next 10 years because they weren't going to overpay a corner coming off injury . Okay media, Argo F Yourself.

Jeremiah on the NFL Network said that although the NFL Network guys have been ripping our draft, all the GMs he spoke to said that they really like the Jets draft. That we got good players and good value.

    Ha, clueless media jackals.

Mayock was the worst of them.

Before the Jets picked, at 13, he was relaying a story about Geno Smith's pro day. He said he was standing next to Morningweg, and every time Geno threw, he was saying "wow". He speculated that the Jets would take Geno, at 13. He thought they might take him at 13, but, when they take him at 39..... he doesn't know WHAT they're doing.

He also keeps talking about how the Jets have more QBs on their roster, than O-Linemen...... completely ignoring that they picked a guard, signed another one, and created cap room, so that they still have the ability to sign more depth. Brandon Moore IS still out there..... always a possibility.

Don't need another guard we are definitely set at the position.

Draft pundits will question every Jets decision like we all we do is pick bust players. They act like we are in cap hell although that is a thing of the past. Honestly, there is just a lot of ignorance among main stream media and they will do anything to write a story.

The headline that has pissed me off the most this year was something along the lines of "The Jets buttfumble Revis Situation" by Ian O'Conner. Have to bring in "buttfumble," a word coined by the media and has to make sure he bashes the move the Jets made. I bet he had this article written before the deal was even done. What a joke.

Oh and the Game of Thrones author, someone with 30 years experience as an NFL GM , also said that we messed up the Revis situation. Just go back to your holes and write about something else.

nah, you're wrong. Even when good the media rips the Jets. We've all seen it. And Bruschi is just a nasty person all around.

Agree with every word. We shored up both guard positions last night. And how all these hacks are counting Tebow and McElroy in the mix for QB are just being stupid. Add the fact that Garrard hasn't been on a roster the last two seasons, it was always going to be Sanchez against a draft pick.

And we got the best one in the draft.

Bruschi should be more concerned with the wholes in his heart created by years of steroid abuse instead of the Jets draft.

you really have to chose which analysts to hear. for some, nothing the jets do is right. they take the top cb, that's a mistake they should have taken a guard. if they took warmack, then the jets wasted a pick on a guard. they take richardson, they already have good lineman, wasted pick. all season the media loved to jump on sanchez and rightfully so. then when they take a qb who falls to them, that's wrong too. it is what it is.

i'll say one thing. idzik has selected not only talented players, but high character guys, guys who can change the locker room and the culture. guys like mehta don't like this, it makes their jobs boring and forces them to know their stuff. they want tebow there, they want sanchez there, they want rex, holmes, braylon, scott, sparano. it's no fun writing about how the jets are drafting like the giants. it doesn't make for good journalism. It also means they need another team to make fun of. the bengals are good too. if the jets aren't the laughingstock of the nfl under idzik, they need a new pinata.
Well said. A few things that should be thrown in the mix:

    1. Which of these "analysts" actually knows more about the Jets defensive schemes and needs than Rex. Answer: none.

    2. Who was the biggest factor in taking Smith and tanking Sanchez: Marty. If you don't trust him, so be it, but I would trust him a thousand times over the dunderheads that represent the media take.

    3. In order to clean up a mess, you often have to create a mess for a short time. The QB roster will be cleared up in matter of days to weeks. We will then have a forward-looking training season with a major breath of fresh air.

    4. The Jets simply cannot fix every problem at this point. There will remain holes somewhere. What they are building is depth and flexibility. We will field a decent team this year that won't win any championships, but will start to cohere and establish a new identity.

We have the best potential to actually form a solid team that we've had in years. That's what this is all about.

Even Scott Hanson, the Red Zone guy, got into the hazing

Said the Jets got Geno at pick number 39, the same number of QB's the Jets will bring into camp

    Really dude?

I agree, the guards are set. I'm just pointing out that they have the depth and the ability to get more..... but, it's completely ignored. Pathetic, really.

How about every moron talking head bringing up how many QB's are on the roster?

As if most teams don't expand their rosters in the off season? As if Tebow, Sanchez, McElroy and Simms will all be on the roster this season.

Then they laugh it up as if this is the Jets final team.

How about the Bills? Did anyone say there will be a QB controversy in Buffalo? They keep saying that there will be one here. Just as there would be one last year. They're just morons taking the easy way out.

How a Rational Jets Fan Thinks:

    How Every Idiot Thinks:

    1) Every Analyst obviously knows more about Rex on defense, that's why so many teams are contacting them to be defensive coordinators.

    2) The media was obviously the biggest factor. The Jets just want attention drawn to their circus.

    3) Jets will always be a mess and will never be cleaned up. The next 5 years are ruined.

    4) The whole Jets team is the problem. As long as Woody is the owner they will never win the superbowl!

Cannot stand it anymore. I am glad that Jets fans understand it at least because that's all that really matters. No matter what we do, the media will twist and turn it until there is some large conspiracy that they want to move to the CFL. Oh and Alabama is better than us.

Did anyone rip San Fran when they took Kaep in the 2nd round, when they already had Smith?

So the Jets take the highest rated player, and it's a joke to all those media hacks F-em

In the same year, the Giants get Eli Manning.... with Kurt Warner starting-- the Chargers get Rivers.... with Drew Brees as the incumbent. The Packers take Aaron Rodgers..... with Favre as their HOF starter. None of those situations created a "mess" or a "controversy"...... but, the Jets, who all agree have a pretty bad QB situation, have created a mess by improving it.

You know what my favorite part of the media bullsh*t is? For months, since the season ended really, all we heard was how despite the financial obligations the Jets HAD to address the QB position because Sanchez sucks, he'll always suck, etc....

Then comes the draft and the Jets take the best QB prospect in the entire thing and don't even have to waste either one of their first round picks in order to get him. You'd think getting that type of value would warrant a little praise? Not with the Jets. All of a sudden, guys from the NFL network give a sh*t about Sanchez and his "feelings", how it's "another circus" and how must Mark feel seeing the team draft someone who will most likely be his "replacement" instead of getting him some guys to help him out. I literally said "Who gives a sh*t about his feelings?" out loud. These were the same guys who repeatedly made buttfumble jokes the last few months instead of analyzing us like every other team. Where was this type of criticism when the Bills picked f***ing EJ Manuel with the 16th pick??? All I heard was how great of a kid he was with his mother and all that stuff. Don't get me wrong, his mothers story was great, but if it wasn't for the Cowboys, that pick would be the worst of the entire draft considering that he might still be on the board today.

This has been my favorite draft in years and Mayock and the rest of his retarded goon sqaud can go f' themselves.
