Was a top rated OL as a HS prospect. Out side of that I got nothing here. Dont like this pick. Someone sees something in him but we passed on some very good players for a guy that wasnt getting pick IMO.

These are official Pre-Draft workouts. Each team is allotted 30 official non-local visits.
Will Campbell, DT, Michigan (As we noted last week, the Jets also went to Michigan for an on-campus workout)

In late May 2012, Campbell was charged with felony malicious-destruction-of-property arising out of an incident on April 7 in which the 322-pound athlete "slid across the hood" of a Lincoln Town Car, causing damage to the hood.[8][9][10] He reached a plea deal in June 2012 in which the felony charge was waived in exchange for a guilty plea to a misdemeanor charge and an agreement to pay $2,100 in restitution to the vehicle's owner.[10][11][12]

In August 2012, Campbell showed up at training camp having lost 46 pounds.[13][14][15][16][17][18][19] A writer for an Ann Arbor newspaper reported:

"Overweight and out of shape for most of his career, Campbell generally spent the first week of Michigan football practice catching his breath and figuring out how he'd make it through the first month of the season. Not this time, though. 'I'm not huffing and puffing anymore,' the senior defensive tackle said after practice Monday. 'I'm not dying right now.'" DraftDaddy.com

It's official, Campbell will be listed as an offensive lineman from the #Jets.

Campbell said three teams brought him in for private workouts. One of them was at DT, two were at G.

It's possible he spends a year or two on the practice squad if he shows enough potential..

If true it has what to to with this pick?

Does every OL pick have to have a Ducasse remark? Kind of like all the Gholston comments when we discuss DL or OLB picks.

And since he is listed at both lines does he get the dreaded double whammy?

Brandon Moore was a UDFA and switched over to the offense and started 1 game as a rookie and was a starter from his 2nd year on.. All depends on how quick Campbell learns but he has played on the O-line before..

yeah but I think he was stashed on the PS..I also think he played in the World League?

Moore signed with the Jets as an undrafted free agent on April 26, 2002. After spending time with the practice squad and with the Scottish Claymores, Moore first saw action in 2003, appearing in three games and starting one. Moore started 13 games in 2004, helping running back Curtis Martin lead the NFL in rushing yards.

You can move from DT to the OL from college to the NFL. My sister-in-laws ex-fiancee was a DT for Arkansas was drafted by the Steelers and was converted to the OL. He was a backup OL for the Steelers and won a Super Bowl ring. He was taken by the Tampa Bay Bucaneers in the expansion draft and had a long successful career as an offensive tackle for the Bucs.

He was pointing out that both were observed to be strong. The implication being that strong does not necessarily correlate with competence at the position. OK "strong"....good to know...next. Would it help if people use smaller words for you?
