Jets Draft - Def, Def, Off, Off, Off, Off, Off, Off

If you include Ivory, the Jets have used 6 PICKS IN A ROW on offense selecting..

    OT OG OG

    QB

    FB

    RB

No Wide Receivers and No TE, but lots of offense "up the middle" with interior linemen, QB, and a Fullback.

    Very interesting draft.

You can't fix all your problems in one draft but I'm glad the Jets went BPA and used a bevy of picks on offense.

This was needed. They drafted to their strength on defense and addressed the most important weakness areas on offense (QB & OL).

Still not thrilled with the Geno pick but I'll support it.

we'll have 12 picks next year, a year dense in receivers.

Not to mention around $40 million in cap space.

Love the way Idzik is building this team and am EXTREMELY excited about the future.

It's a core draft, outside of the wildcard QB.

If two of three O-lineman end up starting in 2015. It's the kind of draft that will pay dividends for years.

Ultimately it will probably be judged on whether Geno develops or not.

Its obvious Idzik is a GM that sticks to the value of the draft board. Because
this was a deep draft but not at the "sexy" positions (QB, RB, WR). So
instead of reaching he stuck to his board and selected OLinemen. With
Ivory, Goodson and a revamped line we should be able to run the ball

Marqise Lee is a top 5 pick. Not so sure it's super deep in the 1st with any others. Sammy Watkins maybe.

Next year should be about us landing the megatron of TEs. Austin Seferian-Jenkins is far more an elite prospect than Lee, Watkins (who was out-performed by Hopkins) and others.

I'm already warming up the bandwagon. Get on board before it trends

I remember, when he was a freshman, my first thought was "This guy is how tall? Paradis is going to fall in love."

Exactly the blueprint we want for a Rex/Sparano offense. Oh wait , we now have MM and his WCO - did anyone tell Idzik or our scouts. We have all the ingredients for the WCO, rookie QB - check. No TE - check, non pass catching starting RB ( Ivory) - check , Wideout who can't catch (Hill) - check , starting wideout coming back from Lis Franc surgery - check.
Hmm smells like another year of G&P to me.

I guess the WCO in Elmer Fudd parlance will mean Weally Conserative Offense.

Was not very happy after the first day, but now I am.

Loved what they did with the Oline! And though they had the best value pick in the entire draft at 39.

I am excited with the direction this team is going. I talked crap prematurely about the new GM after he went Defense with our first two picks, I would like to take that back.

Best case scenario is that Smith plays really well on a sh*tty teams and proves himself worthy. We draft Marquis Lee 4th overall in 2014. Or we trade up for him.

If Smith looks like Sanchez, I don't see the Jets making an investment like that in a WR. At least not with Rex.

It truly was love at first sight. Since then? Magic.
