    I like that.
Well since he signed himself as GS 12, that certainly confirms that he will be wearing number 7

Guess you don't remember Boomer's introductory press conference, where he held up an Esiason 7 green home jersey while OB WAS STILL ON THE TEAM

Then Boomer goes on to continue the stink that post '86 O'Brien established

Not really a slap to Ken O'Brien since the number hasn't been retired. Maybe Geno will do the number proud.

I have to ask this. Why do people get so worked up about a jersey number? Why not wear whatever number they give you and make it great. Why the hang up on what you are going to wear when you have not put a toe on an NFL field?

Cause many, many of us are creatures of habit and believe in superstitions in trivial areas of our lives. I dunno how I could ever wear anything other than 31 (worn in honor of Aaron Glenn and Greg Maddux). It's like wearing wristbands and other accessories with your uniform. Sure it's not necessary and you'll probably play the same regardless, but the comfort level is more than worth it.

He wore #12 at West Virginia

Obviously he's not going to be wearing it here.

Cool, I'm pretty sure I have a 90s number 7 jersey with no name on the back.

I think the #7 shirt will be lucky this time . Got enough of them in the closet.

He should wear #6. It'll be available.

He would however need to touch it up with a sharpi.

They should not do that to anyone... Especially someone they like.

Uptight much? I dont have time to argue with someone over a jersey number but maybe do your research next time.

In his first picture hes posted as a Jet he wrote he was wearing #7.

But you're right we should totally wait until a reliable source like Cimini tells us.

I know it wont happen, but part of me wants him to take #24.

Hes going to be compared to Revis and there is absolutely no way around that.

So why not accept it and embrace it?

I liked the idea of #2 (leaving #1 for Namath 12)

or #4 to sell some name plates... Smith covers Favre

KennyO's #7 should have been retired along time ago. This is a slap to one of the franchise's greatest QBs ever.

Are you kidding. Norman was wearing #7 at his press conference when O'Brien was still on the team. That's the slap. This would be more of a tribute if it was anything.
