But that's not the point is it?? One would think with 371 carries you could break one long run.. McKnight only had 30 carries..

Dbrickshaw Ferguson has been very durable but sooner or later the injury bug gets everyone. You have to have a plan in place if God forbid he gets injured. Doesn't take much for an olineman to get hurt. He could be blocking and someone falls on his legs. So even though he doesn't have any injuries right now, it doesn't take much for a olineman to get hurt.

When you start comparing the backs on the jets to Martin.....

If your LT gets hurt, it effs up almost any team unless you're one of the few teams that has multiple LTs or you have such a good QB that isn't affected by it.
Not many but you would like the swing tackle(Backup) to be able to play both LT and RT. 8 Olineman are usually active on gameday. 5 starters , One OT that can play LT or RT (swing) if injury occurs , One Guard that backs up both guard positions , and Backup center. One OT/Guard that is inactive.

Right now Jets drafted three guards. Brian Winters most likely has to be guard in the NFl (doesn't have the feet to play tackle), Aboushi proved at senior bowl he has to be a guard, and the converted Dlineman William campbell will be a guard.

Yes starting RT Austin Howard could be moved to Lt if Dbrick got hurt. Now you changed two positions on the oline and that has to effect the chemistry . Not to mention A Howard would get abused at Lt.

Every team should have a backup LT (last year you had jason Smith who could play both positions) You don't have that this year. The Jets will be watching the waiver wire to get that guy they can put in at LT.

Lets see in 2011 Raiders oline gave up 25 sacks. Last year they lost their starting RT Khalif barnes to injury in the first game(was lost for 6 -7 games) Willie smith was a nightmare and they only gave up 27 sacks despite 629 attempts. Now in 493 attempts Jets OLine gave up 47 sacks. Yet according to Dreamers they were third best pass blocking oline. (still waiting for his explanation)

Call PFF. I'd guess they would say they can think in more than one dimension.
