Get a hold of yourself, man! Tebow deserved and got the same shot everyone else did. Just didn't perform well enough to earn substantial playing time.

And you honestly think the Jets would have let Sanchez stink up the joint all year if they thought Tebow could actually play just to prevent "looking stupid?"

And what kind of nightmare was it for Tebow? Did he make $2.5 million? To barely play. What a nightmare! Poor guy!

Meanwhile, what a great thread. It's not often enough that we Jets fans get a truly gleeful and joyous thing to celebrate together. And the 20+ pages in a day show that the Tebowites were just a very vocal minority here.
I was wrong to post all of that. Don't have to anymore - he's some other fanbase's problem.

Tanny, Sparano and Rexy really set him up to fail. He got treated shamefully. They should've just released him much earlier, like before the draft.

So the jets should not have tried to trade? Who the hell cares that he was released now? There was no reason for them to do so before the draft.

+++ It was truly one of the worst disasters in long Franchise history. It impacted Mark Sanchez terribly... imagine any NFL QB, even the below average ones.... being taken out of a drive, so you could run a dubious wildcat play, for no real reason , and take the QB out of his rhythm. It seems we had more penalty yards than positive yards with the stupid Wildcat fiasco. MARK completely lost confidence, and his receivers were Chaz Schillins and Jeff Cumberland.? No wonder he held the ball too long. No one was open.

..... and who chose Tony Sparano to run the offense.? ( probably Rex) another mistake ... I could go on.

    Just read this on yahoo....

Teblow has received an offer that apparently is perfect for his Quarterbacking skills

Tim Tebow Gets Offer From Lingerie Football League After Release From Jets Roster (Photo)by Alison Bullock on Mon, Apr 29, 2013 at 5:24PM

It’s always rough when you lose your job, but former Jets quarterback Tim Tebow already has opportunities lined up less than 24 hours after the Jets released him after a failed one-season stint.

The Legends Football League — formerly the Lingerie Football League — has extended an offer to the quarterback. Fans shouldn’t expect to see Tebow in the uniform hot pants and cropped jerseys, though. The all-girls league wants Tebow to be their National Quarterbacks Coach.

If the Jets got offers to trade him on Tebow's willingness to switch positions, then the Jets certainly were under no obligation to drop him. That's crazy.

don't really get the personal hate for Tebow. he's a class guy.

just because it didn't work out in this f*ed up organization doesn't mean it won't work out some place else.
