Aren't those two kind of the same thing?

My theory is that people like to be outraged about something. And social media provides them with access to things that might outrage them as well as a platform to vent.

This site is proof of that . . .

Yes, the guy never did his research and came off half baked. Prolly some random google search

    +1.

Native Americans are easily my favorite minority. They found this place and provide us with gambling.

Of course, you're not a Native American watching the history of your people reduced to some caricature on a helmet. Bad enough your people were killed and invaded and reduced to a marginalized super minority, now you get to watch a professional football team named after a derogatory name used to dehumanize your ancestors.

Would it be PC crap if we had teams named the New York N*ggers? Miami Spics? San Francisco Chinks? New Jersey Wops?

    Yeah, I thought so.

I'm just not a fan of PC. If someone says something stupid, they should get called out on it. But they shouldn't have to let people's reactions determine whether they say it or not.

Griffin is obviously annoyed by something (Collins, Redskins, whatever). But he can't voice it because others might take it the wrong way? Meanwhile, I've seen you defend SAR's right to openly troll more than Griffin's right to speak his mind (at least that's how I took yours and Fishooked posts).

I guess I just see it from the total opposite viewpoint . . .

If you read the rest of his follow up tweets, you realize this is NOT about redskins name, it is clearly about the Collins thing.

I think you have mistaken me for someone else. I hate PC.

I shouldn't say I hate it. I just hate the lengths we go to now to be PC.

There's a definite grey zone between being PC because its the decent thing to do and being PC because you're terrified of speaking your mind and we need more of the former and less of the latter, imo

I generally think if you're not being inspired by hatred, you can say most anything and be alright. Even voice your opposition to gay marriage, why not...but as they say, hate the sin, love the sinner.

So I assume you want the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cleveland Indians to change as well?? Of course when you book a hotel now do not call it a reservation that's also demeaning to indians that live on one right next to the casino..
