Sanchez was asked how having Geno Smith here will be different from having Tim Tebow: "I don't know. We'll find out."

Usually we don't hear this kind of fluff until OTAs or training camp. Its starting early now.

In what capacity does he "see something different"? While lifting weights? While ordering burgers? The way he sits at the Garden during a Knicks game?

nick is one of the few jets who can and will still stand up for sanchez without fear of losing respect or his starting job.

For the 1st time in his career there actually will be competition at the QB spot with two legit contenders. I am and have been one of Sanchezs biggest critics from day one but I think he is going to win the job in camp and play much better this year. The Jets will still dump him but they may get something for him if he plays reasonably well.

Why does Sanchez have to be called and coddled on draft day just because the Jets took a QB? What - to stop Sanchez from hanging himself or something? He was already benched to end last season. He's already been informed its competition this year - so for what purpose does he get called?
Did Wilson get a call before we drafted Milner? Did Coples get a call? Did our starting rt. tackle get a call?
    What gives?

Nick should worry about his own ****ty play on the field. Ever since he got that contract, he's gotten fat and mediocre.

this is true, but most here on JI either ignore it or continue believing the myth that Mangold has played at a probowl level the same way he did earlier in his career.

I realize that it is sacrilege to be even slightly critical of Mangold's play in this forum, but he has indeed fallen off... much the same way Brick has. Frankly, Brick has sucked the last 2 seasons. Both are not living up to expectations set early in their careers. I pin this on REX being completely uninvolved in the offense.

A lot of people here need to chill. Sanchez had a bad year, he didn't spit on anyones grandmother. The last time I looked he wears a jets emblem on his helmet so ill root for him and everyone else who does also.
