Thread: Geno will be a bust?

    Geno will be a bust?

Geno is a project that needs to sit & learn. I didn't like the pick &would have puked had we taken him first round. He's immature & had arguably thw best Wrs in college & comes to our team that has backups that hopefully become play makers. His completion percentage was inflated b/c of his short passes & austin had great yardage after catches. His long ball is avg & now reports about his attitude!

no doubt about it. every jets fan needs to look around the league and see what qb's there are and how they got to where they are. geno can go either way. imo he's a punk but that doesn't mean he can't or won't improve. by contrast sanchez is a lap dog who craves approval and affection so much it clouds his ability to make quick decisions.

Geno is certainly no Luck or Griffith and yes, he probably is a project that will take a couple of years. Good post.

He had no attitude issues at WVU. None. All this stuff is fabricated so that media can cash in on more clicks because everyone in the sports media has joined the bash-the-Jets-at-any-cost movement. It has become ridiculous. And some Jets fans are actually stupid enough to take the bait. For example, just look at the "sameoljets" poster here who now is convinced that Geno is a "punk", and has posted that several times, not because of anything Geno has said or really done (Green room crap is just nonsense) but because of what the media is contriving dashed with a sprinkle of his being a black QB. Geno has been humble in his interviews. Anyone who knew him at WVU says the same about him. Geez some of us are so damned gullible.

Immature? A 22 year old is immature? In todays day and age? really? Wow... He must be the first one, right?

Attitude? Really? Are you a sheep being lead around by the media who want to create controversy in a New York market? I think so.

On the field, he is already an improvement over Sanchez, without taking his first snap.

And maybe they were the "best Wrs in college" because they had Geno throwing to them, putting the ball in places where they could make a play.

There are 2 sides to that connection.

He is not a punk. Period. Is he too dumb to play QB, too? Is he just a runner and not really a passer? Your comments sound very familiar.

If Shark hates the pick, Geno's pretty much guaranteed to be a stud, right?

Nobody knows what Kind of Qb Geno Smith or any of the Qb's will turn out. This position more than any is a crapshoot . He could turn out to be a franchise Qb or he can be a bust. You just have to give it time an see what happens . Saying he will be a bust when he hasn't played one game is silly.

The only thing that worries me are his baby sized hands.

Its not easy being a Jets fan with fans like this. The kid hasn't even taken a snap yet can we just have a little bit of faith in him and wish him the best since he is a Member of the Jets. I have been a fan of this team for over 30 years and it this kind of sh** that makes me crazy.

Nobody reached 4 Geno and that's a blessing. Skys the limit 4 the kid now. Nobody can say crap about him being drafted to early. Geno fell to the jets in the 2nd rd. that's a steal .
