In that series, he was named David Banner.

IMO, Ruffalo killed the part. Norton, one of my favorite actors, was really disappointing.
I thought he was David Bruce Banner, in other words, the same guy.

    Meh.

    Ruffalo barely did anything.

    Norton was great.

    Bill Bixby was the man.

Correct... the modern version is Bruce David Banner son of David, the disappointing lightning bolt guy at the end of Hulk.

Bana has never really risen to the sublime heights of his first feature, Chopper -he's an amazing mimic but I don't think anything he's done in Hollywood shows of his talents.

Caution, some violence and swearing in the bottom clip:

I thought Bill Bixby was the best one. Of the recent films, I think Ruffalo was the best of the 3. Bana was the worst, he is too "hunky" to play the role.

    Yup.

This movie, and the Tom Hardy movie "Bronson" are similar in that we'll never see either guy put into a role where they are that challenged again.

    Both, great performances.

Hardy was great in both Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and the highly underrated (and under-viewed) Warrior. After seeing Lawless I do think he needs to step out of the brooding tough guy role that film makers seem to have pigeon holed him in. I still haven't checked out the Batman film, so not sure how he did as Bane, but given the fact he has a mask covering his face much of the time I could see how his performance might have been compromised.
