@RapSheet: When Josh Cribbs visited #Raiders on Mon, he passed a physical for his knee. They extended a contract offer. But 3 other teams interested

    my bad, again.
Still tho, i feel he is underutilized for one reason or another. He has great hands and can produce after the catch.

Seems they prefer to run him on those short slants....which usually make my stomach queezy due to deflection at the LOS, or worse.

he's better than anyone we have at punt returner.

he's as good or better than McKnight as a kick returner.

he's a better receiver than anyone we have not named Hill, Holmes and Kerley.

    no brainer

Wouldn't mind Braylon, but I think the Jets are looking for fresh blood.

I'd be pretty happy with this signing. He's not going to command a large salary and he is an immediate speed threat, not to mention a ST given.

The Jets need to get faster at WR.

    This is a no-brainer.

Would be a nice pickup. A versatile 4th WR who can be effective in certain packages + an upgrade on special teams. Knowing McKnight will be off the team is a bonus

I'd like a combo of cribbs and barden or cribbs and braylon to be added to the competition.

Kerely can easily become a star in MM's offense. Breakout type player.

Kerley had 56 catches for 820 yards with a QB who has never completed even 60% of his passes (54% last year).

Sanchez had 457 attempts last year - if he was even halfway decent and completed 62% that would be about 35 more completions of which Kerley would have had about 15 more, putting him around 70 catches and close to 1000 yards which is excellent for a WR with little other offensive help who was coming off a TC injury.

He has good hands, is explosive after the catch and should really take another leap forward this season. Definitely a player I cant wait to see play with a QB like Geno and an OC like MM.

Maybe he is cheaper than the other guys since we will be close to the cap.

He would be the only one, as far as I know. Kind of important I think.

Free agent WR Josh Cribbs is finally going on his free agency tour after healing from a torn meniscus. He has visited with the Oakland Raiders and will now fly to New York to visit with the Jets. The Steelers have also expressed an interest.

Lockerroom poison, don't touch. Have you ever seen him interview? He sure likes himself.

    PFT:

It’s been reported that free-agent receiver Josh Cribbs will visit the Jets on Thursday.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Cribbs actually arrived on Tuesday night and visited with the Jets on Wednesday.

The big question is where Cribbs will head next. With a clean bill of health, Cribbs has launched a belated free-agency tour, meeting with the Raiders on Monday and then heading to see the Jets the next evening.

Cribbs’ primary value comes in the return game; he’s never fully blossomed as a receiver. After spending all eight of his NFL seasons in Cleveland, the only thing that’s certain at this point is that he’ll play for one of the other 31 teams.
