I decided to embrace it and get excited today

I'm ready to welcome a little bit swagger. A little bit of "fck you" attitude at the position. Maybe Geno is something of an a$$hole. I don't know yet, but I know he couldn't be any more different than Sanchez, and I'm done with that record.

    I want more of this--

    Heard that!

I'm not expecting the SB, or even playoffs this year, but I expect this will be a fun season to watch.

I definitely don't believe the JETS are gonna suck nearly as much as most think.

I hope they ALL play PISSED. That's what is needed here.

And what if Sanchez answers back, with a big F U to all of his detractors, and plays well?

    There are still Sanchez supporters?

The worst QB in the NFL over the last four years?

Well, miracles do happen from time to time. Anything is possible. Maybe he rises to the occasion and competition in this, a year where he has no contract for 2014.

He'll have the advantage of being the incumbent. Of having a very solid O-line and RB group, and a healthy Holmes and Hill back. No excuses on supporting talent or O-Co.

We'll see. He'll have to avoid turning it over 2-3 times a game, Thus far in his career he hasn't shown a consistent abillity to do that yet.

Personally, I do not think he will rise to the challenge, and will not finish this season as our #1 QB, and will not be a NY Jet in 2014. His time is, IMO, all but over in NY.

u guys are wasted. Throwing in Geno this year is beyond stupid, even for a drunk jet fan. He has no idea how the O is even run, nevermind perfomring at a high level.

    Geno-THE METAL HORSE 1930 AND 1990

The Metal Horse loves to roam. He is self-sufficient and treasures his freedom and liberation. Any type of committed situation is sure to send this Horse running for the hills, so a stable relationship is certainly not his idea of a priority. Horses change jobs and partners frequently because of their need for adventure and their desire to tap into the unknown. This vigor and untamed spirit draws people to the Horse. The Metal Horse will make a better friend than partner because a friendship doesnít tie him down the way a relationship does.

Mark-Eccentric and dramatic, Fire Tigers are aglow with passion and verve. They are outgoing, expressive and look on the bright side of things. They have the Tigerís natural ability to lead others and are able to excite others simply with their own gift of enthusiasm. They can be funny and have great senses of humor. Tigers are powerful speakers and have the ability to command and persuade crowds through speech. Their own seemingly endless supply of energy can make them appear a bit dramatic, and it may make them more sensitive to cautious or down-to-earth approaches in others.

Exxxxaaactly. Geno is the future going forward. No doubt, but it'd be nice to make Sanchez's play on the field look "porn star pretty" and trade him for some extra picks.

I support the team and the jersey, don't care who wins the job, whoever outplays and earns it.

Then there are clowns like you who have baseless agendas, rooting against a player for no reason, no real reason, it's the popular agenda of SOJF, so go with it.

I have watched smith play most of his college career and the only time I hear him being called an ******* is after he is drafted by some media anonymous sources....lets please give the kid some respect...how is he an ******* from what we have seen? That's why I do not follow the media....I just follow the team, players and coaches.

    That's fine

Best case scenario is for Sanchez to bounce back, and Geno to flash early, giving the Jets a tough decision to make, seeing that both QB's emerge, the other becomes trade bait.

    Exactly

I've been calling them out for years, and it gets worse every year, last year was one of the worst, and the sheep part of the Jets fan base could not digest their crap fast enough.

I am right there with you...low expectations from most people EXCEPT the Jets.....you can almost feel this weird but nice buzz about this team with the new additions, schemes......running backs etc...heck sanchez may even play some real football.....I just like the way things are shaping up. We need to go back to January and take a look at where this team was with the insane cap....tebow....lots of dead weight players....fast forward to today...it's like night and day and we can thank Idzik for that. Coach Ryan is focusing in coaching....we have a damn good OC. My expectations are not too high for 2013 but I am very confident to say that the Jets will not be a door mat. Offense will be better and the defense will be scary.

would be a win win for the Jets...sanchez stunk up the joint BAD in 2012 but he will get his fair shot....I honestly think Garrard gets the job and mentors Smith but if I am wrong about sanchez (which I doubt I am) then it would be one of the times I am glad I was wrong.

And HOW do you know all this? You work for the Jets? Give me a break....you have NO clue on how Smith will progress after one day of rookie mini camp......how do you know that he will not light it up by training camp and be the starter....please stop speaking out of your other body parts like you know what will happen.
