Watch the fish, Marge.
Has anyone had any experiences, or heard of experiences, with Simplisafe or Frontpoint?
I feel one of these may be the way to go, in terms of being able to more completely arm my house for the price, and because of ease-of-use, and lack of hard-wiring that would require a pro to come in and get into the walls.

So a burglar will come in through my mail slot?
Seriously, you know anything about them?
I put fake ADT sitckers on the doors.
Wow, I really did not get jack **** out of this thread.
I sleep with my car keys next to my bed. if someone breaks in I plan to hold down the PANIC button on the keys.
If someone breaks into my house when I'm not home, that sucks for them. They can have my Dynatrex flat screen tv.
I 'm looking into a new system, one with wireless devices and cell and landline connectivity. Lowe's sells something called IRIS. A lot of the other systems are $20-$30 more expensive than ADT or Slomins.

What does wireless or DIY have to do with that? Are you saying with another system it would mean faster police response time?
With ADT, the burglar, if he was motivated, could cut your phone line.
Yep.
If the Sec system is done correctly, it's on a battery backup and has priority on the phone line.
If someone goes through the trouble to get around that I don't think there will be much you can do to stop them.
Unless you have guns or very intimidating dogs in the equation.
Relying on Police to help you is never a good idea.
I've got a two tier system.
Smith

AMIRITE?
No, I'm saying that 90% of all alarm triggers are false alarms, and the local law enforcers know it. Any thief who wants to do a smash and grab has plenty of time to get in, grab the good stuff, and get out, well before your local finest bother to show up. Doesn't matter what system you have.
