Thread: What can we get for Sanchez?

  1. #1

What can we get for Sanchez?

Not that i agree or disagree with trading Sanchez and still paying most of his contract, i just havent seen any information on what anyone thinks his value is.

Im assuming we would have to eat around 75% his salary, but what draft pick can we get in return and what should we be happy with?

I think he will do fine as a back up or plug-in wherever he goes, and most teams around the league know that.

    So maybe a 5th rounder?

    Nothing.

If a team wants Sanchez, they'll assume a percentage of his contract and nothing more.

Maybe peace of mind if we never have to watch him behind center again.

MAYBE a 7th Rounder with the Jets eating the majority of his contract

May be able to swing a Krispy Kreme if its been sitting out for awhile. But lets be honest no one is giving up one of those fresh ones that just came off the line...those things r unreal.

No, literally, they will have to pay to ship him out.

    Maybe a 7th. Highly unlikely.

If the Cards wanted him, maybe Ryan Lindley.

Depends on who loses a QB and what their need is. At most prob a 6th, but more likely a "future" consideration pick or something. Of cour$e Woody would be happy if some else take on some of the $$$ owed...

Please, no. Without exaggeration, Lindley is the worst QB I've ever seen play in the NFL.

I keep seeing people continue to mention the Cardinals as a viable place for Sanchez to end up. They acquired Carson Palmer. It's no longer realistic.

I think we should keep him on the roster all season in case a teams QB / backup QB go down.

I honestly do not see the upside of letting him go for nothing, i just dont get it at all. He is not a cancer that is going to infect Geno / Gerard. Yes the Media will be there and be rediculiously annoying, but who cares about the media. Should do what is best for the team.

A late round conditional pick would be about it.

Conditional 7th (if he makes the roster and plays X snaps) rising to a conditional 6th (if he starts 16 games) or the like, IF the Jets agree to pay 75-85% of his salary for 2013.
