    Melvin Ingram ....torn ACL

Could be done for season will have MRI...at one time thought to be on Jets draft board.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Chargers fear that the injury was a torn ACL, which would knock Ingram out for the entire 2013 season. Ingram is still undergoing tests, and an MRI will be needed before the diagnosis can be confirmed.

The San Diego Chargers fear that defensive end/linebacker Melvin Ingram has a torn anterior cruciate ligament and could be lost for the season, reports NFL.com.

The Chargers held organized team activities on Tuesday and it is not known how Ingram suffered the injury.

The Chargers selected Ingram with the 18th overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft after an All-American senior season at South Carolina in which he had 10 sacks, 15 tackles for loss, two interceptions and also scored three defensive touchdowns.

Ingram played just 475 snaps for the Chargers in his rookie campaign, recording 41 total tackles and one forced fumble.

Melvin Ingram suffers knee injury, Chargers fear torn ACL

Melvin Ingram, the defensive end/outside linebacker chosen by the Chargers in the first round of last yearís NFL draft, suffered a potentially serious knee injury today.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Chargers fear that the injury was a torn ACL, which would knock Ingram out for the entire 2013 season. Ingram is still undergoing tests, and an MRI will be needed before the diagnosis can be confirmed.

If Ingram is out for the year, it would be a major blow, as the Chargers were counting on Ingramís continued development as a starter.

Thereís no word on how Ingram suffered the injury during non-contact Organized Team Activities.

Well, it may be safe to say QC has a very good chance of being better this year.

In my book there was never a comparison. Coples is a freak while Ingram was more of a great college player with physical limitations that were always going to prevent him from reaching a certain level.
