wesley walker has always been my favorite jet....I wore number 85 in high school and my colors (Andrew Jackson High) was also green and white. My high school coach used to take us to see the Jets at Hofstra every year and I met all the jet players from 1981-84. The only jersey I have is an authentic wes walker jersey.

Does your favorite player have to be a Hall of Famer? I loved watching Wesley Walker, Wayne Chrebet, Erik McMillian, James Hasty, Aaron Glenn. I loved watching Dennis Byrd before the injury - the year he had 10 sacks he really started to come into his own. I just like rooting for good players who may not be the greatest, but they're our guys who you can cheer for.

Let's list a bunch of New York Jets that were your favorites. They don't have to be perennial Pro Bowlers (like we've had a plethora of those ), but players that you loved to watch.

I had the same thought, I am surprised Martin is not getting more love. A couple of my favorites as a kid were Don Maynard and Gerry Philbin from the SB team and Rich Caster and John Riggins from the early 70s.

    Lightbulb

    Curtis Martin nuff said
Santana Moss say what u want but his speed and ability to turn games around on a single play were remarkable. He still has his speed in his advanced stage of his career.
    Chad Pennington pre-injury
    John Abraham pre-diva
Kevin Mawae particularly on his crushing blocking over Zach Thomas
    Kris Jenkins
Braylon Edwards particularly after the duds we had immediately before him
Vinny T - the monday night miracle was the stuff of legend

The older guys might remember Duane Crutchfield. FB from Iowa St.
Not sure why he was here such a short time. The guy was a violent runner.

My own personal All-Time Favorite NY Jets (reflective of the Era in which I grew up):

    QB: Ken O'Brien, Chad Pennington
    RB: Freeman McNeil, Curtis Martin
WR: Al Toon, Wesley Walker, Wayne Chrebet, L. Coles, Rob Moore
    TE: Mickey Shuler, Dustin Keller
    OL: Mangold, period.
    K: Pat Leahy
DL: Klecko, of course, but Marty Lyons, Dennis Byrd and Jeff Lageman too.
    LB: Mo Lewis, Kyle Clifton
CB: Aaron Glenn, Revis (on the field, not a fan off-field)
    S: Erik McMillan
    Coach: Walton, Edwards
