Jay Cutler has Type 1 diabetes and it sure hasn't restricted his play.
like I said above, Jay Cutler doesn't need to play at 300+ pounds

Why would Type 2 diabetes prevent a DT from playing? Jay Cutler does not have Type 2 diabetes and his weight is irrelevant.

Because to most effectively manage the diabetes you have to go on a regulated diet, if Love dropped down to 250 pounds he would just pushed off the line, weight is definably less of a factor for a QB.

Again, weight is not an issue in Type 1 Diabetes at all, whether it's a QB or any other position - they are two different diseases! You are conflating the two as if they are the same thing.

He had already dropped down to 280 pounds.

Type 2 is manageable, with the requisite blood-sugar monitoring, a healthy diet, and a good amount of physical activity.
It's more of an issue of what kind of foods you eat rather than your weight per se.

Bob Kraft has nothing to do with it except if he owns some shares.
You are correct. Also, Kraft Foods was a subsidiary of Phillip Morris until '07 and was then spun out.

I heard Brady was getting a 3% share of Kraft Mac and Cheese for taking a pay cut on his contract.

And didn't Bob Kraft make his fortune in the paper business? I thought he had nothing at all to do with Kraft Foods

The point is the best defense for type 2 diabetes is significant weight loss which is contrary to what is required for an effective defensive tackle. It would be totally irresponsible of the Patriots, knowing that he now has type 2, to require him to maintain his weight.

Thanks, I thought I was going bonkers for a second there. Gotta love all the fools who go out and spread false info to the masses on this here pfail strip. I mean, just open a tab next to your JI one and do 2 minutes of google / research before spouting off inaccuracies.

Oh. I don't take "suck" in this case to be referring to ability or competitiveness. I see it more as a barometer as to the degree that fans find either team "distasteful". Which is exactly his point.

Meh. You read that fallacy here about as often as you read how great a businessman Woody Johnson is because of the huge success of Johnson & Johnson, a company his family won't let him touch, much less work for.

I would imagine that he could have a legitimate case if he could perform the essential functions of the position despite his condition. Perhaps, the situation is that the doctors didn't clear him because their medical opinion is that he cannot perform under the circumstances? I didn't read the article, just the posts.
