After Tice you would think they would have learned to vet their candidates very carefully. Instead they hire this witch, Hermann, who makes Tice sound like he's kind and gentle... oh boy, what a bunch of morons.
Now it's surfaced that she was the subject of a sex discrimination case as well. But the Rutgers president is standing by her (which is another way of saying he's preparing to throw her to the dogs when he's sure he's safe)...
Turns out she wasn't even on the 60 person list given to Barchi by the Search Committee. He decided personally that she was one for the job. The man must be a certified idiot when it comes to social intelligence. Really really bad judgment. And now comes the scramble for cover...
But I really don't get the outrage about calling some volleyball players whores and alcoholics. Big fvcking deal. Grow a thicker skin. Toughen up.
What ever happened to sticks and stones may break my bones, but names can never hurt me?
The last Rutgers coach was calling his players fags. This conduct is way out of line and can't be accepted.
Plus this woman fired an assistant for being pregnant. Very classy.
She can be fired, of course, but Rutgers in on the hook for her salary.
Despite what people think, there are rules of conduct governing coaches and administrators.
Of course you care, your emotional denial proves it. That's OK because the media-The Star-Liar run by Cuse grads, and ESPN who just had a major layoff and is losing out to BTN on a big market draw- are doing RU a favor by keeping them on everyone's lips. It's like that Carz For Kids commercial. Peak Freens and Food Emporium also come to mind.
