You might want to check out Bar Harbor. Next to Acadia National Park.

Great, hiking, biking and kayaking. But beautiful for just hanging out as well.

Home for the evening. Might watch the Liberace movie.

Chicken soup got you in a good mood.

I'm happy for you that your vacation went well. Just seemed kind of "nyah" in this thread is all. Have a great evening.

I decided to have some friends over so I made some pulled pork for sandwiches.

This is a nine pound bone-in Boston Butt (cut in half horizontally) soaked in brine for a few hours, then coated with a wet rub and then a dry rub, and then cooked for about five hours at low temps. (The roast looks small in the pan but the pan is 18 inches wide.)

    Just before shredding (pulling)

    Just after

Tomorrow is my day for serious remembrances.

    Exactly...or Nyah x 4. That's my only point.

Got a lot of stuff done while we were rained out Fri & Saturday, so yesterday we mooched some food at a friends house. Since today was free and the winds have finally died down, got up at 4 & hit the lake.

Last time I ventured out I spent 3 hours in windswept drizzle and it just f ucking sucked, and of course didn't get anything. Mother Nature dealt me a sh1thand. Today she made up for it.

Got over a dozen fish today, this big bastard made it all worthwhile

To those you gave to ultimate sacrifice so that we may live free.

God bless you and your families.

Nice. A friend and I braved it in foul weather gear on Saturday in Southold Bay, between LI's forks. 15 sea robins, one below limit fluke and one keeper (21") between us. Must have stumbled on a friggin sea robin colony. And the keeper was mine.

I got out today, targeting stripers. Waters were thick with blues. Ended up with 12 blues to 8lbs...no stripers. With the warm temps predicted for later this week, I'd love to get out for some sea bass. Unfortunately...it doesn't look like I'll be able to sneak out of the office...

Out on the north fork again? You got family out there or something?

Well the rain stopped enough today for a buddy and me to get out on the golf course and have some beers. Shot like ****, but I am a ****ty golfer, so there is that. Got some steaks for the wife and I and a pound of morels to fry up for supper. At least I got a decent close to the weekend.

They probably know how annoying they are, too.

My buddy went out again yesterday and said there were blues everywhere, but he did manage to reel in two weakfish. First time in two years. They've gotten really scarce where we are and I'd love to see them come back. Friggin delicious.

Family house in Southold. Out there almost every weekend during the summer.

Local brewery had a weekend festival with camping out. Monsoon with lightning Thurs night. Heavy rain with temps in 30's Fri Night. Freezing with snow on Sat night. Finally cancelled on Sunday.

    Monday kicked azz though.
