I would think that Jets are practicing to put the best possible team out on the field- not to impress the media.

Making or not making a pick in OTAs with the press watching is not weakening the defense against the second team offense.

Rex could have told them that if they got two hands on a thrown ball, it would count as a pick. Kind of like when a rusher gets two hands on the QB in OTAs.

Rex is more media conscious than you give him credit for.

Please stop. It's not every day a NYJ leads the league in finger wags! Wilson's a baller when it comes to fist pumps too.

In other news - please shoot me. Clyde Gates is still on the roster.

Sadly, Stevie Wonder is not the GM of any NFL team and none of the sighted GMs are interested in buying 26 interceptions, fumbles per season not to mention countless sacks and incomplete passes. After he is sent packing as early as June, maybe some CFL team will give him a try or maybe he can compete with Teblow for the Omaha Beef backup job
who do you propose our backup be?

Exactly what I was thinking. And the throwing QB would get the pick recorded as well.

OK but 8/11 and 8/9 doesn't leave much room for INTs. Pretty good completion percentages, why work a conspiracy theory? (not directed at you personally)

Wilson was not drafted to be a slot corner. That's a completely ridiculous notion. He plays in the slot because he's not good enough to play on the outside. That's why we had to spend a 1st round pick on Milliner, because Cromartie was the only starting CB on the roster.

The idea that the defense was ordered not to intercept passes is also ridiculous. There weren't any INTs because they spent most of the practice working on screens. That's also the reason why the completion &'s were so high. And even outside of that, 0 picks on 20 total pass attempts isn't anything unusual.

While they did draft Wilson to play the outside his skill set didn't translate to that. Blame it on bad coaching or bad scouting of him or just blame it on Wilson for not having the 6th sense to turn his head around when the ball is coming his way. I think he has some great value in the slot pointing to some of those great games he had against Welker who is obviously a pretty good receiver. He is quick to the ball when he sees it, a solid tackler and can really be all over a receiver which is a very good skill set for a slot cb. He just needs thr ball on front him to be effective. Either way im happy he is back in the slot where he belongs.

Yes, because with his job on the line, making his QBs look good in May is what's going to save him.

I swear, we should never talk about the stupidity of other team's fans. They have nothing on us in that department.

Stupid is as... If you'd think before you spout you might realize that what the team records internally doesn't have to be displayed to the media. There is the competition and then there are media relations. I could explain but you post like the cheese is half slid off your cracker anyway so why bother.

You are right about the stupidity that sometimes shows up here, and some are too stupid to realize they are talking about themselves.
