    Who Here Has Won Lotto?

Anyone here fortunate enough to had won the lotto? Big or small, what was the highest amount and have you won more than once?

Small change for me, $1 here and $5 there. Nothing worth smiling about. I found a website which contains alot of lotto strategy: http://www.moreaboutwinninglottery.com/.

The lottery is just a tax for those who suck at math.

Great second post. Actually a poster named SAR I hit huge on the lotto, and now he spends his time giving it away to strangers he meets on the internet. You should PM him. His game is that he likes to play hard-to-get for a month or so before handing over your windfall, so be really persistent and don't take "no" for an answer.

I did tax returns when I lived in NY for 2 lotto winners. Much less BUT a few million.

BOTH were broke within a few years. Biught real estate at the wrong time etc...

People who can't accumulate money rarely can manage it. There is a reason 20 percent control most of the wealth. They accumulate and manage.

So where do you have your money....under your mattress? You realize that there are all different types of investments running the gamut of extremely safe (US Treasuries) to extremely risky (investing in your neighbor's can't miss start up) and everything in between.

98% of the people who win the lottery should take the annuity. At least they'll have an income stream down the road - even if they get mired in debt in the interim.

Never won, but had a close friend win 100k off a scratch off just last month. Also had a client win 187K on a nickel machine at the casino.

I know the odds of winning the lottery are extremely low but I play from time to time.

This is even more perplexing as he moved to Fla right after. He's a real smuck to me. He was great consultant. Felt terrible for him. He once has the gall about 8months ago asking me to invest 25k in something with him. My response was oh so you didn't loose my #? No thanks

I'll throw a buck or two in when the jackpots get really big. I'd just be spending it on something else. The daily or weekly players are crazy, convinced they're going to hit it rich.

One of them did. he bought a lot of condos in Queens leveraged. the annuity literally got attached by the bank.
