They also both were virtually dead and buried at one time, Chicago down 3-1 in games to Detroit and Boston trailing by 2 goals with less than a minute and a half in an elimination game to Toronto.

The NHL would also love this match-up to make the lockout a distant memory. Though for me, of course, I would have loved to see the Rangers in the Finals, but I do think Blackhawks/Bruins would be some series.

That was a fleecing. Toronto fleeced Boston right back in the Tomas Kaberle trade, but not nearly to the same degree. The Kessel trade for the picks that turned into Seguin and Hamilton is working out well for both teams.

    Heard that last series.

You don't limit the pens to 2 goals in 4 games by sucking.

    Thanks!

You rooting for Chicago virtually guarantees a Cup for Boston.

Huh? You must have Tourettes or dementia, or both. It's the only explanation.

+1. Swap goalies and the Pens win that series.

Haha! Don't mean to sound like a homer, but rask just face elite fire power in the penguins. The bruins handed them their ass all the way around. You may get a better team, but not a Better offensive team. Rask was walking on water during that series.

Of course, reading comprehension is not your strong suit.

I said Rask sucks, not the whole team.

Bs won by playing a trap d that a younger, deeper, better team like CHI will evade.

Dont care who wins either way at this point.

Elite my aZz, you had 2 lines, a 2nd string G replacing a former 2 time finalist that has sucked fir 4 years running and a bunch of creaky acquisitions that screwed up whatever little chemistry that post-injuries was struggling to reemerge. You were lucky to get past a weak NYI and were gassed.

not to quibble with you, JSJ, you being a loyal passionate Jet fan who usually gets things about sports right

but that was my recollection of the call by Vin Scully (along with Joe Garagiola) of that great October 25, 1986 game six in which the Red Sux once again took it up the heiny, something that Boston fans and quarterbacks continue to enjoy immensely

Murphy's call was similar but he almost got it muddled up with whether the ball was fair or foul, IMO

Loved those Happy Recaps though from Murph

Not sure if we are talking about the same team. I'm talking about the pens

lol...he was clearly talking about the Bs. And I can't believe he watched ANY of the games of the last series if he thought Rask had nothing to do with the sweep. He played out of his freakin' mind this series. Scary good.

yea. When you can hold a team that was averaging over 4 goals a game in the playoffs, to 2 goals in 4 games..... That is amazing. I gotta give the other players credit too. they would of put their faces in the way of the puck so the pens wouldnt score.
