OTA News from today - 06/05/13

Practice over. QB tally: Sanchez 9-for-19, 1 sack (25 reps), Smith 5-for-9, 1 sack, 1 INT (14 reps). Sparano-esque day for offense. #Jets

Sanchez leads one of ugliest 2-minute drives ever. With a no-name receiving corps, he goes 4-for-9 and time expires w/ ball at 20. #Jets

Clear emphasis on downfield passing in 7 on 7 drill. Conclusion: They should stick to the short stuff. #Jets

WR Stephen Hill (knee) not in team drills. This has been a lingering issue. #Jets

Sanchez got 12 reps in first team period, Smith 6. Both got work with first team. #Jets

Sanchez and Smith rotating a lot in team drills -- red zone period. Smith picked by Davis on deflection. Neither QB shines. #Jets

Disappointing - Hill needs the reps.

    Absolutely.

Hill is the one player who's improvement could really make a difference on the offensive side of the ball. Its hard to get better when you cant practice

Hopefully he's not asleep in the middle lane of 287.

It'll be more of a concern if he still has knee issues when TC starts. Hopefully it's just a case of them limiting him now.

I was thinking Kris Jenkins but LOL yeah that's probably it - all the whining about being left out seems to have paid off.

From Connor Orr - check out the WRs that were running with the 1's during the two minute drill. I'll take the QB stats (even Sanchez's) with a grain of salt considering that motely crew. But we better get someone like Bray in here come training camp if our best guys continued to be sidelined.

Didn't see Coples drop back at all today, a lot of rush-heavy sets. #nyj

Want to see Hill out there for sure however I'm thinking the O Line will be significantly better this year.

Apparently he has a flu, for a second I thought they dumped him.
