Highlights and reasons why Darrin Walls went undrafted...

This once 5 star recruit started to see the light as a senior, it sounds like the typical case of a talented kid being coddled all his life and then going through shock at the next level, you cannot just rely on talent alone to make it, maybe he's learned his lesson, Walls is a legit 4.36- 4.40 type of athlete, every single college was after him coming out when he chose Notre Dame, it just didn't pan out for him in college, but maybe our coaches can unearth his talent now. I've heard Rex talk this guy up all spring.

://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXq2N4ekGRE He sure looks the part here. I think he ran a 4.43.

Here's an evaluation from the always reliable Bent over at TJB:

I cant wait to see this kid in the preseason. Even Calvin Pace mentioned him in his latest interview.

The Jets have been very good in recent years at finding off the street young, cheap, talented CBs who can add depth and play special teams - guys like Cole, Lankster, Trufant, Walls etc - who are never going to be stars but who are effective in the roles that they play on kick teams and in sub packages.

This is very similar to the Joe McKnight story. Highly recruited kid that didn't live up to the hype.

Great. That means we are probably in for at least four years of listening to folks on here telling us this is a the make or break year for him in that case.
