    No kidding

What, were people actually content with Cumberland as our starting TE this season?

If Winslow can remain healthy, he'll give us a solid receiving threat at the position.

So does this mean Cumberland/Reuland/Hayden aren't looking like they're headed to the Pro Bowl?

A bit surprising. Wasn't he out all of last year?

Not a done deal yet. Schefter is reporting he was signed for tryout only:

    Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter 1m

Free-agent tight end Kellen Winslow is invited to the Jets mini camp next week on tryout basis.

he won't make the team. His body can't hold up. Waste of time. He's had little playing time the last couple of years. Might as well sign his father.

According to Schefter he's coming in to tryout at minicamp.

Idzik sure doesn't mind signing players that have significant injury histories. Colon, Garay, Ivory, Barnes and now Winslow

When you have very little cap room, you sign "at risk" players, hoping for the best

So why not try him out? You're saying we should even check him out?

I'm excited. Could be a good fit. We NEED TE help

Good move when your starting TE is Cumberland

    Wish we signed Fred Davis

Pats checked him last year when Gronk and Hernandez had their injuries. No go. Anyway, he's not even a good stop gap. Idzik has already signed on enough walking injured. enough.

Low risk move. No harm in bringing him in for a tryout.
