This begs the question, what new name will his dog have?

It was Bronco; then Bronx when traded to the Jets. What's next

Sort of agree with Reason #6 here why Tebow will work out for the Pats.

    http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap100..._atl_rosenthal

"Belichick focuses on what players can do, rather than worry about their limitations. He prizes versatility. If ever there's a perfect fit for Tebow in the NFL, it's New England. This is Tebow's chance to be a useful role player like hundreds of other guys in the NFL who don't create headlines. This is his NFL destiny."

Tim Tebow will never see the field as a TE or a FB or receiver or OL or whatever the hell people think he's there for. He has zero skill at any of those positions. He can't catch and he can't block. He can run with the ball, but that's not easy to do since it will be obvious every time he's on the field since there is zero, zilch, none nadas chance NE will leave him in there to block for their franchise QB. None. He's there to learn how to be a QB out of the spotlight. That's all. He will never see the field this season unless Brady and Mallett both get hurt, or if he's a placeholder for Gostkowski. NE is giving him a chance to learn how to be a QB under Brady. They are doing so because Belicheck is good freinds with Urban Meyer and because Josh McDaniels has a personal interest in Tebow. They are the only team willing to do this at all because they are one of the only teams who can.

Wow 10 pages on tebow on jets fan site lol.. Patriots D may be terrible but they have best offense in nfl and again took on a player jets cut will be interesting if belichick can utilities the tebow around whatever he is better suited for, like he did with woodhead.. Tebow won't be a regular like woodhead was though.. But tebow was pretty successful with fake/punt ect last yr and we all know belicheck hates to punt because he D stinks and wants to out score everyone.. It's smart just to pick him up for that reason. With the jets on 4th and short we went for it and was successful many times but 4-6 plays later buttfumbler put jets in 4th and long anyway.. Brady would be much more successful with new life from 4th down conversion...

    Without question.

Bill is a ballbreaker, that's for sure.

Rex has so much to learn.

I thought every other team in the NFL gave Tebone-head a chance to be a role player, but for him is was "QB or nothin'!"

This is the most plausible explanation I've heard so far. Mike Freeman thinks so:

    mike freeman ‏@realfreemancbs 1h

GM believes Tebow works on throwing motion with Pats. If better/consistent Tebow stays. If not Tebow goes to another team with Pats cred
    mike freeman ‏@realfreemancbs 1h

NFC GM to me: "Belichick signed Tebow as a favor to Tebow because he likes the guy. Tebow won't be there by end of training camp."

Just hit me. Maybe Tebow finally realizes that he is a distraction so he's going to NE to quiet down while still being able to be in the NFL. He could be there for Punt formations, which i thought was the only thing that went kinda well, other than that it could be 2,3, maybe 4 years until he finally steps onto the field and then possibly quietly try to move to another team.
