Keep an eye on this guy

He could throw a wrench in the mock drafts of many an expert. This guy has everything Wilson has and something Wilson doesn't.

    He's 6'2" and 230.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_F...n_(quarterback)

As a freshman in 2010, Franklin was the backup to Blaine Gabbert. He played in 10 games, completing 11 of 14 passes for 106 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He also ran for 116 yards on 23 carries with two touchdowns. He became the starter in 2010 after Gabbert entered the 2011 NFL Draft.[3]

As a sophomore in 2011, Franklin started all 13 games for Missouri, leading them to an 8-5 record. He completed 63.3% of his passes for 2865 yards, 21 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. He also rushed 217 times for 981 yards and 15 touchdowns.[4] Franklin led Missouri to a number of comeback victories, erasing a 14-point deficit against the Texas A&M Aggies[5] and the Texas Tech Red Raiders,[6] and a 10-point deficit against the Kansas Jayhawks.[7] Franklin also led Missouri to its first win over the Texas Longhorns since 1997.[8]

Franklin was named MVP of the Independence Bowl after leading Missouri to a 41-24 victory over the North Carolina Tar Heels, accounting for 274 total yards of offense and 3 touchdowns.[9]

On March 19, 2012, it was announced that Franklin would have surgery on his throwing shoulder but he is expected to recover in time for the start of the regular season.[10

Nice player and someone that the Jets should be interested in aquiring, but let's say that Geno Smith becomes the starting QB of the NYJets sometime this season. Let's also say that it brings to an end the career of Mark Sanchez as a Jet. Who on our current roster at QB could mimic Geno Smith and allow the Jets to continue to run their offense without altering the scheme.

Now if we were to draft a prospect like Franklin, that problem could be non existant. Franklin is probably faster than Geno, has just as strong an arm and is about the same size.

I know we need playmakers, but should we draft them ahead of better prospects especially at premium positions.

Are Gurley and Marshall suppose to play? There are a couple interesting players on each side so I'll probably watch some of it.

I believe Marshall's out with an injury and Gurley is hurting. I am more interested in how Franklin plays against the Bulldog Defense.
