There is too much specific detail in that story for it to have been made up. Like, why mention that business man Sandy Weill was there? Or he said 'I can kill someone with this ring". That sounds exactly like something he would say.

LOL, jetssjumets has the Pat homers all riled up

Spygate, the scandal the shamelfull acts of the commissioner protecting the Pats, and the insecure defensive diatribes of Pats fans that are too dense to realize how pathetic and embarrassing their organization is and the shame they brought to the best sport in the world, will never, EVER, get old.

It's gotta suck that Pats fans will have to grow up and explain to their kids when they are old enough, that the 3 SB victories were tainted.

    The power of Tebow

He's been there a week, and already we have Kraft's Jehovah witness manifestos of the great spirit Tebow brings to the organization. Putin stealing Kraft's Super bowl ring, Tebow being bandied about by the Pats owner as one of its stars, and players already being bombarded of Tebow questions.

Oh yes, this is going to be fun!

I thought Tebow was an "excellent" move and would excel under the "excellent" hire of Sparano to run the offense, which you relentlessly defended and dismissed anyone who, with events unfolded, knew better. You are a joke.

    I believe Kraft.

Because if anyone knows about stealing Super Bowl rings, it's Robert Kraft....

Goodell, as new commissioners, was embarrassed by the leak of the tape, so he knee jerked and destroyed them. Small minded haters point to that as a cover up and favor to the Pats, when in fact, it was possibly the worst thing he could have done as doubts will always exist. Until, at least, Jay Glaser releases HIS copies of those same tapes.

The Walsh tapes were shown to anyone who wanted to watch. The press got bored with what they were watching, which was exactly like the leaked original footage; time, down, distance, two or three coaches giving signals, and the play, with an occasional zoom into a cheerleader's ass.

But don't let THOSE facts get in the way of your tired, simple, yet extremely hopeful, argument.

And I could not care less weather Specter was a Steelers fan or Eagles fan. Maybe he was both. He's certainly had it out for the NFL for decades. He once threatened to try to pull the NFL antitrust exemption when the Eagles dumped Terrel Owens. During Spygate, his beef was that the NFL wanted to charge his #1 contributor, Comcast, too much money for it's new NFL Network. His second largest contributor? Comcast's Legal Firm.

    Gimme a break.
Read this book and then read your response - this book has ALL the facts that are available to the public. This author was shocked how all the evidence was burned on the spot without review by the commissioner.

All people involved refused to speak with this author. Sad indeed.

Shats fans have to continue to deny and defend the heinous conduct of their franchise...

    after all

Traded Babe Ruth for cash to finance a flop Broadway show

Cheered Rosie Ruiz to the finish line

    and

Still denying the most heinous cheating scandal in the history of American Professional Sports

Probably bc he's an investment banker from Dallas who doesn't have any ties to the NFL or the journalistic community in general? He admitted that his entire book is based on printing out articles about spygate and spreading them out on his bed.

You can go on Amazon and find quite a few books by "authors" who are "shocked" at the Bush cover-up of 9-11. Sad indeed.

Kraft better watch his step. He is way out of his depth on this one. Putin does not exactly have a history of abiding by the Marquess of Queensberry rules when it comes to people who he may view as his enemy.

Only a Patriot fan can tie in 9/11 and spygate. Also I did say he laid out the public record. So what you're saying is reinforcing my point - it's the old boy network closing ranks. They burned more than tapes - get over the fact that it was just tapes that were burned. The paper trail was destroyed - at the very least they cheated by getting another angle to record all signals and verbal calls. They got the poster child of Asberger's syndrome Ernie Adams(?) to map it out. A statistical review of the Pats performance before and after using this info demonstates a drop off in performance. What made this whole thing bad and admittedly possibly perceptually overblown was the fact that they burned the evidence. NEVER reviewed first hand by the commisioner and therefore will never know the full extent of what they did. Bad and sad indeed.

Any reasonable person would laugh at that "book". The author has already been convicted of one fraud before he wrote it. Of course people involved refused to speak with a conspiracy theorist looking out to make a quick buck off their good names.

There's books on The Grassy Knoll 'coverup', the fake NASA moon landing, the Aliens built the Pyramids, and The Government is building Secret Underground Cities. I suppose you believe all of those book, too?

Ah Guido... Just how good are their "good names" really? I would suggest to you that everyone involved in this decade long episode has foregone any claims that their characters were being impugned.

Which does not belong and why?

    • Grassy Knoll Coverup
    • Fake NASA moon landing
    • Aliens built the pyramids
    • Government building secret underground cities
    • NFL commissioner colludes with franchise to cover up extent of the systemic decade-long cheating by the New England Patriots

Of course there was a cover-up. The evidence was destroyed to avoid future lawsuits. if your team knows what is coming and the other team does not know that your team knows then the risk of player injury goes through the roof. The lawyers would have dragged everyone into a courtroom on that issue alone. Roger Goodell was in containment mode not in punishment mode.

Whether it led to championships or not, who knows but I do know that Belichick knew it was against the rules and yet they accepted the risks to carry on doing it. That means that the mad professor absolutely felt it was conferring benefit on his team.

    Period.

There is no reasonable way to dispute such a conclusion.

But by all means carry on with your moon landing references as if that somehow washes away the very real stain from garden variety cheating.

My goodness - this book simply lays out the public record of everything involved with spygate. Draw your own conclusions - but to state he's a grassy knoll conspiratist is a bit much. Bottom line - no SB wins since they were exposed and their defense has not been nearly as good. It's all Brady.
