That front 7 will give a lot of teams' problems.

Garray, Snacks et al provide decent depth to call on

For this defense to be special, a lot of things have to come together. Chances are they will be above-average but not dominant.

Will Milliner perform right out of the gate?
Can Jarrett, Allen, or Bush step up and be a starting safety?
Can Kenrick Ellis be that mammoth nose tackle who eats up 2 blockers?

IIRC, under Herman Edwards as HC with Donnie Henderson as the DC, the Jets replace 6 defensive starters in 1 off season and went from one of the worst/ slowest defenses in the league to a top 5 defense.

It was the year the Jets drafted Vilma and turned the defense over to him.

I hope everyone is right about the defense. To me, this defense is going to be the worst in the Rex Ryan era. Probably the best pass rush we've seen in a long time, but the worst overall defense.

The hole at FS will loom large. They should be highly susceptible to deep plays beyond 40 yards. HOW will they cover TE's over the middle of the field?

How long will it take Coples to become a decent linebacker?

I just can't see it. I'm thinking this defense is no better than number 10 to 15 overall.

They finished that season number 7 overall.
