What good are all those millions of dollars, mansion, girls, and being a famous football player if you lose your street cred? You're nothing without your rep!!!

Re: And the Hernandez charges are....
Sad to hear, but he is still innocent until proven guilty. Granted if he has 5 gun charges, they may have the murder weapon in custody.

This is all sad on a variety of levels.

At first I thought obstruction, that he couldn't be that stupid to be directly involved.

    Wow!

    What a moron!

The circus this will bring to the Pats will be amazing!

Interesting that the affidavit was sealed. It'll probably be unsealed by petition very shortly. Looking forward to seeing what it contains.

Didn't see this point made (it may have, it's easy to lose track in such a busy thread)

Cleveland Browns release Hackensack rookie charged in attempted murder in Passaic

    Wednesday, June 26, 2013

    The Record

    PASSAIC COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT

PASSAIC The Cleveland Browns have released a rookie who is charged with attempted murder for allegedly punching a man outside a club in northern New Jersey.

Ausar Walcott turned himself in to Passaic police Tuesday after he was identified as a suspect in an incident that happened around 3 a.m. Sunday.

The linebacker was signed by the Browns last month. The team announced his release Wednesday.

Authorities tell The Record newspaper the 23-year-old Hackensack native and former University of Virginia player punched 24-year-old Derrick Jones in the head just after The Palace Gentlemen's Club closed. Police say Jones, who is from New York City, is in critical condition.

Walcott is held on $500,000 bail. It's not clear if he has a defense lawyer.

Does MASS. have a death penalty, and would this murder qualify?

No, Mass does not. and yes, AH is charged with premeditated 1st degree murder. If this were Florida or Texas, AH would be at serious risk of lethal injection.
